TLS 1.3 Support
Given that your entire product line of ProSafe Smart switches only supports up to TLS 1.0, I'd like to suggest that you start working on making TLS 1.3 available. Especially, since TLS 1.2 has been around since 2008 and you should really be embarassed that your business line of switches only support insecure communication methods.
GS1xxE and their PoE equivalents. Getting them an IP using DHCP on a specific vlan.
Hello to anyone taking the time to read this. I have close to a dozen netgear GS1xxE switches at my home and various family member's homes by now and swear by the things. Vlan tagging is a must for our various setups and these switches haven't disapointed yet. However , when it comes to configuring them, the fact one is incapable of selecting the vlan on which the things do their DHCP negotiating forces me to use fixed IP's. In essence this isn't all that bad. Please consider using HTTPS for the web management of the GS1xxE line of switches. Especially the smaller models need a secure way to configure them as there are no real replacements for in-field deployments outside special technical rooms where is no room to fit an entire rack into... As the current state of security of many of the embedded or IoT thingis is sub-optimal it is crucial to prevent login credential sniffing via other pOwnd network devices within the same subnet. Hi I'm aware of the previous discusions/sugestions here about adding the ability to specify a managemet vlan on ProSAFE Plus lineup (e.g.GS108Ev3). While there are good alternatives higher up the line that do support this (GS108Ev3->GS108Tv2) I dont see a similar aternative for GS105PE - a-5 port passthrough POE switch. It would really be appreciated if this feature could be added to GS105PE. I think it would make the switch so much better. It does almost everything needed for this type of device - just lacking the management vlan. Thanks, Sasha
