Timestamp

I am wanting to backup some files from my Duo to my RN104. There is a problem that for some folders the date/timestamp is changing to the time of the copy. My approach was to firstly pull files using the RN104, first using rsync, then nfs, then Windows timestamp. (more processing power on the RN104) After spotting the problem I had a test folder with 5 sub folders. One of the sub folders got the correct date, the other 4 did not I then tried pushing the files from the Dou, using Windows Timestamp all folder names had the correct time so I started the backup overnight. Unfortunately, some of the folders still have current time. I suspect once the failure occurs it simply continues. The problem only occurs at the first subfolder level. I'm running 6.6.0 on the RN104 and 4.2.13 on the Duo. Is this a known bug, or is there something that can be changed to achieve the right result ?4.1KViews0likes4CommentsBackup incomplete showing complete in rsync, and also windows timestamp and archive
Hi, I'm desperatly trying to backup a windows 2008 R2 server Data hard drive in my readynas104. I've been doing automated backup with windows (Archive) for a while, when I realised one day that the backup was showing complete but some files were missing. I tried to change to windows timestamp, and it was the same. I looked at the topics and undertood that maybe this was due to the protocol, and it would be better to use rsync. I installed deltacopy on the server and tried the rsync backup job. Although it shows complete it is still incomplete, and a lot of files are missing. I checked through the forums but couldn't find a solution. Can anyone help me please, I don't know what to do... My firmware is 6.7.5, and I have a readynas 104. I would like to transfer the contents of an OS 4 ReadyNAS to an OS 6 ReadyNAS. On a test run, the Rsync changed the date created/modified of folders (this differed whether the folders were viewed over CIFS or AFP). As I understand it, an -a flag in Rsync will preserve folder attributes including modification and creation times. How can I add the -a flag (or similar) to the ReadyNAS Rsync Web UI? Or is there an alternative CLI option? Separately, I recall when I upgraded from an old NV+ I connected the two NASes directly and pressed the backup button for line-speed transfer. How would I do this with OS 6? Which options might I have to set up? Many thanks in advance for any guidance.944Views0likes1Comment
