I am planning a complete redesign for the networks of two places and I would appreciate your thoughts or recommendations for devices. See the concept in the image. It seems that the SSL VPN will be SRX5308 I have not decided yet the Wired Access Points (2-3 at each site). I do not want to use wireless controller (like WB7630). It goes without saying that wirless roaming between the WAPs of each site would be the perfect solution. Preferable that mobile devices use OS native VPN tools (those could be any laptop, smartphone, or desktop) Indeed Thank you for your ideas! p.s. cost for now would better be ignored.Solved4.8KViews0likes5Commentsadd newer AC or N WAP to existing wireless network ?
I have an existing network, with (3) Netgear WAPs (N-class), WN802T. I have some spotty coverage, and was thinking about adding two more, but perhaps a different Netgear model. I want to use the same SSID for roaming. Is there any difficulty mixing and matching models of Wireless AP?Solved3.9KViews0likes2CommentsNighthawks as a Orbi Satellites
Dear Netgear, I have a couple Nighthawks R6220 and R7000, now I have an Orbi AC3000. I paid as much for the Nighthawks as the Orbi system. Please consider releasing firmware updates that allow Nighthawks and Orbi units to function together as a mesh, rather than a mesh and 2 disjunct WAPs, connected only at a VLAN level. Even if the backhaul could only go over the CAT6 interconnect, rather than wireless. I suspect, you are mostly interested in simply selling more high dollar units, but consider being loyal to your loyal customers, who already have invested heavily in your gear. (Including thousands in storage devices, and switches).
