WNDR3400v3
8 TopicsWNDR3400v3 is very slow with firmware v 1.0.1.4_1.0.52
I recently updated the firmware in my WNDR3400v3. The version now installed is 1.0.1.4_1.0.52. All connections, wired and wireless, are very slow with this new firmware. My internet provider indicated that Netgear firmware has a problem and has released a beta version to fix the speed issues. How do I either go back to the old version of firmware or obtain the beta version?Solved3.1KViews0likes2CommentsDisappointed with the router as it doesn't have important feature to set bandwidth to scope of ips
WNDR3400v3 Case ID: 27440470 I am really disappointed with the router as it doesn't have important feature to set bandwidth to scope of ips. My previous routers which were 1/4th price of netgear had this feature. As my router is connected to multiple devices laptops/pc/smartphones i need to set bandwidth to smartphones as they usually buffer youtube and youtube on wifi default plays at HD which inturn completes the FUP given by ISP. To avoid such problem i use to set 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.5 (which are reserved for laptops/pc)will get full speed 60mbps whereas rest ips which are smartphones gets 256kbps (youtube will play at 360/480p resolution which saves ISP fup. PLEASE TAKE THIS ISSUE IN PRIORITY AND RELEASE A FIRMWARE WITH THIS FEATURE. Or else un willingly i need to buy another router.SolvedWNDR3400v3 N600 Wireless Dual Band Router password reset instructions don't work
I don't understand why when I ran antivirus software it alerted me I have a weak router username and password. I have set a new username and password and have clicked "apply." But when I follow the instructions which are copied>pasted, below, I get to step 2. and it only accepts the *old* username and password to log in as described in step 2. Then when I do step 4 and click on "Wireless," it opens up the page and displays the *new* updated SSID and Passphrases, NOT the *old* username and password I had to type in in step 2. Why do they not match? I want to update my "too weak" username and password but it does not appear to be saving it based on going through the provided steps, below. Even more confusing: Step 6 is not accurate because there is no field with that name. There is a field named "passphrase," but not a field named "Password (Network Key)." I have clicked the "apply" button but then when I log out and try to log back in again, once again it asks for a username and password but will only take the *old* one, and my antivirus scan repeats that the username and password are still too weak. Here are the steps NETGEAR offers me online for my model: Article ID: 23439 To change your WiFi password or network name (SSID): Launch an Internet browser and type http://www.routerlogin.net into the address bar. If you are having problems accessing routerlogin.net, visit Router login page cannot be displayed or is blank. Enter the router user name and password when prompted. The default user name is admin. The default password is password. Click OK. The BASIC Home page displays. Select Wireless. Enter your new user name in the Name (SSID) field. Enter your new password in the Password (Network Key) fields. Click the Apply button. Your changes are saved.SolvedWNDR3400v3 connects 5G and ethernet but not using 2.4G
I have an WNDR3400v3 N600 Wireless Dual Band Router which will no longer connect in the 2.4G band if security is turned on. The 5G band and all ethernet ports work fine. As I have 2 other 2.4G access point in our facility, I set one AP on channel 1, the other on channel 11 while the the router (WNDR3400v3) is set to channel 6. This set up has work very well for the past 3 1/2 months. Last week the router 2.4G channel would not let anyone connect. Neither laptops, iPhone nor Androids. If I turn off security it will work and allows connections. Turn security back on, it kicks everyone off and each client keeps cycling through the connection process. I have changed the channel, reset the router, changed the passphrase, all to no avail. I also updated the firmware to the latest (V1.0.1.2_1.0.51). Anyone have any ideas? And if not, how do I get this thing replaced since obviously it's not working as advertised. Thanks for your help.Solved4.4KViews0likes10CommentsWNDR3400V3-N600 - Windows 10 Connectivity Issue
Hi, I have a new DELL Inspiron (Windows 10) with a "Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 3165" which I am unable to connect to WNDR3400V3-N600 router. Other existing devices like Android, iOS and Printer are connected through the router and work fine. I get the message "Checking Network Requirements" and a while later get "Can't Connect to this network". The wired connection is working all right. I disabled access control and even tried security 'None' briefly. But, no success. The wireless connection also connected to another non-NetGear router earlier, suggesting that the problem is specific to NetGear environment. Adapter Driver - Intel latest version (18.20.0.9) Router S/w - Latest Version (V.1.0.1.2_1.0.51) I even fell back to earlier versions of the Intel adapter such as 18.12.0.3 & 17.15.0.5 but with no success. Any help is appreciated. TIA.Solved5.3KViews0likes5CommentsDevices Not Connecting To 2.4ghz
This seems to be a common issue from my searching however, I have yet to find a solution. It's been over a week that I have not been able to connect to my 2.4ghz frequency on my router. The only time that devices can connect to my 2.4ghz is when the encryption/security is turned off. The router is six months old and any older/newer device that sees the 2.4ghz frequency will not connect to it. If the device sees the 5ghz frequency it'll connect. Unfortunately, I have some devices that only see the 2.4ghz that will not connect to it. Here is additional information: Device is WNDR3400v3 with firmware V1.0.1.2_1.0.51 2.4ghz and 5ghz frequency have different SSIDs Both Frequencies have different passwords. Both Frequencies use the same encryption WPA2-PSK[AES] Devices that connect by hardwire directly to the router work fine Devices using 5ghz work fine Access Control is turned on; never had any issues with this. Devices that are connecting the 2.4ghz is not showing up in the log at all I've rebooted the router several times I've tried to take it back to the factory default which never worked. Here is some additional information. If Access Control is turned on I can see the devices Mac address appear in the connected list of devices but an IP is not being assigned and the device is not connecting. If I turn off Access Control the device still does not connect. Any help would greatly appreciative.SolvedNetgear N600 Sporadic Connectivity Issues - Wired
Greetings, I've owned a Netgear N600 for almost exactly 1.5 years, it has worked fine until last week. I use a wired connection even though it is a wireless router. Symptoms: On regular 240 second or 120 second intervals, no data goes through the router for ~5 seconds - then immediately goes back to normal. Buffered media streaming is not impacted. However, when gamaing this manifests in huge spikes. Sometimes I can receive data but not send data for a longer (~10second) period. Diagnostics I've done: Restarted modem and router - does not work. Changed ethernet cable from port 1 on the router to port 2 - did not work. Plugged my PC's ethernet directly into the modem - worked. Had it plugged into the router for over 3 hours and no lapses in data flow. When I switched back the issue resurfaced immediately. Thanks in advance for the advice.Solved
