Failure to Connect (Windows 10)
So using USB tethering I was able to download and install the driver and the NETGEAR genie program for my computer (no CD drive) and everything seemed to be working perfectly, until I tried to connect to my WiFi network. Hello, I have Window 8.1. I use The Netgear WNDA4100 N900 Adapter. It frequently disconnects and looses its signal. All other wifi devices in the house run well. My computer is the only one that cannot stay on the internet. Is there any help that can be given for this? I am very frustrated. I am constantly removing the plug from the USB port and plugging it back in, to connect to the signal. I have used multiple USB ports and the same issue happens. Every time my Netgear WNDA3100V3 USB WIFI adapter disconnects and then reconnects to the internet, my computer shuts down and displays the BSOD (blue screen of death) that says the stop code. "Kernel Security Check Error" and tells me to go to windows.com/stopcode and find an answer? Well I have uninstalled and reinstalled and made sure my computer and the adapter are updated. After downloading this driver, the adapter and genie stopped working after downloading new drivers. I don't remember how I got to this point, but my genie was uninstalled hoping if I reinstalled it, everything would be fixed. Not the case, when I tried to reinstall it, it couldn't find my adapter. Therefore, I couldn't get the genie to work or install new drivers on the website. I've searched through forums and videos, tried the device manager thing and still no luck. Any ideas?Set up wireless
So my work computer (PC) crashed and my company sent me a new one Dell Windows7 intel. I had my Netgear (model as described above, although I'm not sure if it's a micro or not) on my previous computer and now I was plugging it into my new computer. It does not show up on my new computer any place. I've tried different places to plug it in, restarting my computer and basic things like that. I'm not real computer savy and have searched here looking for answers but I just can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I've misplaced my original paperwork for my Netgear adapter and I see I can download a setup wizard ???? but how can i do that if I can't even connect to the internet. I use Verizon Jetpack for my internet, if that makes a difference. My work IT people asked if I had a CD to set up the Netgear but I don't remember having one originally and like I said I misplaced my paperwork from it. Can anyone either help me set it up or point me in the right direction for help. easy to follow instructions would be great! LOL Thanks.
