I'm not sure when this started (possibly with the upgrade to W10 long ago), but when I access the ReadyNAS Duo to administrate it, both Edge and Firefox browsers tell me that the connection is not secure and that the security certificate is invalid. I create and exception and access Frontview, but I have to do this every time. What does this mean, and what can I do about it?Solved3.5KViews0likes2CommentsEdge Browser Certificate Error
We've moved to using Microsoft EDGE browser as standard (tired of using 3 browsers one for each "thing" it does best. Trying to muscle through this transition. This should be an "easy find" in the community forums, but there's only one post on Edge, and the most recent I could find on browswer certificates was 2009 and 2012... ;-/ On some Windows 10 environments (new systems, or clean installs, no garbage build-up in registry...) we are getting certificate errors. "There’s a problem with this website’s security certificate" and presented with the usual warning not to procede. What's the shortest way to add the ReadyNAS system's certificate to be seen by the Microsoft EDGE browser as a "safe" website?Solved17KViews0likes4CommentsCertificate for ReadyNAS NV+ not valid?
When I use RAIDar to sign onto my ReadyNAS NV+, the certificate is evidently not valid as the HTTPS shows with a red slash through it. I am warned about when I do it after every reboot and I am sure this is a result of an upgrade to Windows 10. I am using the latest RAIDar and latest firmware on the ReadyNAS NV+ and Chrome browser. I seem to remember this happening before whai I did a reinstall of Windows 7. I also have a ReadyNAS 314 but this isn't a problem with it. Can someone point me to how to fix this problem?3.1KViews0likes1CommentM7100-24X - No support for TLS 1.2 on management connections?
New poster here so hi everyone. :smileyhappy: Just wanted run a question by the experts here. My company has just aquired a wildcard certificate from Digicert which we're planning to use for HTTPS management connections to each of our network devices and various servers. After some trial and error, I managed to get the certificate installed on one of our M7100-24X switches and I can make a properly secured connection to its web console. However, I noticed in the HTTPS settings and in the subsequent connection information that the most up-to-date cipher suite it can use is TLS 1.0. As we are in the process of making our organisation PCI DSS compliant, I would like to be able to use TLS 1.2. Have any of you got experience in this area? Does anyone know whether it is possible to enable TLS 1.2 on Netgear switches? Pehaps Netgear are aware that this needs addressing and are working on it for a future firmware release. I've opened a support ticket but any advice from the community would be helpful in the meantime. Thanks.3.2KViews0likes3Comments
