When a CM2050V is connected to a three-way coax splitter (the modem, and two TVs to Xfinity Voice/Data/Cable television service, it disrupts the signal to the two tvs. Disconnect it, and the TVs are fine. Disconnect the standalone router, problem still exists. I rolled back to a Netgear C7100V in passthrough mode, and everything works again. The problem is definitely the modem. The only reason I bought this modem is because I received an email advising that Netgear will stop support for the C7100V on 7/31/25. Neither Comcast nor Netgear support can explain what's going on, much less make it work. Would be better to upgrade to CM2050V, but the C7100V will stay in place for now ANY ideas how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.301Views0likes40CommentsCM3000 upload speeds capped at 100Mbps with XFINITY GIGABIT X2
Hi all, I have a weird issue with my cm3000. It's running the latest FW according to netgear. I subscribe to Xfinity Gigabit x2. I am getting only 100Mbps on upload. I used to get 300+Mbps. We had a power outage a while back. My modem is on a UPS and didn't lose power. We also experience an extended Xfinity outage due to vandalism. I had the xfinity tech come out and he tested from the coax and the speeds were normal. We plugged the modem back in and ran a speed test from a laptop and uploads still at about 100Mbps. We factory reset the CM3000. Had them reprovision it and still 100Mbps. I let the xfinity tech go since he proved the line was good to his test set. I reinstalled my CM2050V. It downloaded the new firmware and my upload and download speeds are back to normal. Could there be an internal issue with the CM3000 due to power spike and being on possible ups back up and/or an issue with xfinity provisioning it wrong?? The CM3000 is still under hardware warranty (about 90 days left.) Should I just RMA it? Current speedtest from the Orbi 960. TIA95Views0likes1Comment
