Hi. I have the c3000 router/modem. I keep losing connection... sometimes after 5 seconds of doing a power cycle , sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 5 hours. The internet is fine, good connectivity, and can hardwire to internet. WHY is the modem pooping out all the time??? It's making me crazy having to go thru power cycling 87 times a day to get work done. My cable/internet supplies 2.4 and 5 ghz. This modem is 15 months old. Thanks alot for any advice or suggestions on how to remedy this problem.1.1KViews0likes3Comments[c3700] NAT issues connecting to PlayStation 4
Here's how I have the set up. C3700 modem/router is in my basement Lan1 port - connected to PS4 (25' cat6 cable) Lan2 port - connect to belkin router upstairs (25' cat6 cable) Been trying for a few day not and don't understand my issue... I have a c3700, I have my PS4 connected to LAN1 (cat6 cable). When I "test connection" on my PlayStation I get NAT type 3, strict.. can't play with any of my buddies online. I opened ALL ports recommended for all the call of duties and PlayStation network. Still get a NAT 3, strict with a WIRED connection. Using Wi-Fi, I have all ports up etc, gave my PS4 a "address reservation". When I test connection on my PS4 I get a NAT type 2 but at the multiplayer "menu" I get NAT:strict I question here is can I turned my c3700 Wi-Fi off and use it only as a modem and be able to use BOTH 1&2 LAN PORTS to get access to my PS4 and router or no?3.9KViews0likes1CommentStrange connection issues
I have an new C3000 100NAS Firmware 1.01.11. This replaced an identical router that had burnt out. None of my iPads or iPhones will connect consistently to it. They work every once in a while. I have a vizo TV hooked up to the router via the wire, and it works fine. I have another TV hooked up via the wifi and it works fine. My windows computers work fine. My xBox one does not work. I can't hook it up via the wifi or the via a wired connection. It gives an error message about DNS. Everything looks like it should work on my iOS devices. I have a signal. I can connect (it seems) and when I look on my setings, I the IP address, Subnet mask, router and DNS all have values displayed. My speed is sometimes OK (upload speeds ranging from 5 to 35 MBS) and sometimes non existent (0.01 MBS) My ping is almost always very good, 8 or 10 ms, even when the speed is near zero. I have called my ISP provided once, and they reset my modem from their end. It worked fine for a few hours after they did this. I have tried powering off all devices and restarting everything on my network That made no difference. The inconsistent performance across different types of devices is what has me confused. The old router did not display these symptoms. It would quit working completely and needed to be powered on and off several times per day. When it quit working, only the devices connected via a wire worked. All wireless devices did not, so I am sure the new router has a different issue.2.1KViews0likes1Comment
