Hi. I have the c3000 router/modem. I keep losing connection... sometimes after 5 seconds of doing a power cycle , sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 5 hours. The internet is fine, good connectivity, and can hardwire to internet. WHY is the modem pooping out all the time??? It's making me crazy having to go thru power cycling 87 times a day to get work done. My cable/internet supplies 2.4 and 5 ghz. This modem is 15 months old. Thanks alot for any advice or suggestions on how to remedy this problem.1.1KViews0likes3CommentsPower line 1200 not connecting
I'm having problems getting my powerline adapters to connect. The adapter plugged into my router has all three LED lights are lit when I plug The second adapter into any outlet in my house I cannot get it to form a network I have plugged it in to outlets in the same room, in separate rooms, and outlets right next to one another. Neither seems to work All of the outlets in my house all on the same circuit. I have looked at all of the breakers in my box and all of them are the type of breakers that should allow the powerlines adapter to transmit Internet signal's. I cannot figure out why they are not watching. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can try? I have reset both adapters multiple times. That did not solve the problem.6.7KViews0likes5Comments[c3700] NAT issues connecting to PlayStation 4
Here's how I have the set up. C3700 modem/router is in my basement Lan1 port - connected to PS4 (25' cat6 cable) Lan2 port - connect to belkin router upstairs (25' cat6 cable) Been trying for a few day not and don't understand my issue... I have a c3700, I have my PS4 connected to LAN1 (cat6 cable). When I "test connection" on my PlayStation I get NAT type 3, strict.. can't play with any of my buddies online. I opened ALL ports recommended for all the call of duties and PlayStation network. Still get a NAT 3, strict with a WIRED connection. Using Wi-Fi, I have all ports up etc, gave my PS4 a "address reservation". When I test connection on my PS4 I get a NAT type 2 but at the multiplayer "menu" I get NAT:strict I question here is can I turned my c3700 Wi-Fi off and use it only as a modem and be able to use BOTH 1&2 LAN PORTS to get access to my PS4 and router or no?3.9KViews0likes1CommentStrange connection issues
I have an new C3000 100NAS Firmware 1.01.11. This replaced an identical router that had burnt out. None of my iPads or iPhones will connect consistently to it. They work every once in a while. I have a vizo TV hooked up to the router via the wire, and it works fine. I have another TV hooked up via the wifi and it works fine. My windows computers work fine. My xBox one does not work. I can't hook it up via the wifi or the via a wired connection. It gives an error message about DNS. Everything looks like it should work on my iOS devices. I have a signal. I can connect (it seems) and when I look on my setings, I the IP address, Subnet mask, router and DNS all have values displayed. My speed is sometimes OK (upload speeds ranging from 5 to 35 MBS) and sometimes non existent (0.01 MBS) My ping is almost always very good, 8 or 10 ms, even when the speed is near zero. I have called my ISP provided once, and they reset my modem from their end. It worked fine for a few hours after they did this. I have tried powering off all devices and restarting everything on my network That made no difference. The inconsistent performance across different types of devices is what has me confused. The old router did not display these symptoms. It would quit working completely and needed to be powered on and off several times per day. When it quit working, only the devices connected via a wire worked. All wireless devices did not, so I am sure the new router has a different issue.2.1KViews0likes1CommentAC1200 Choppy connections, Had N600 Dual-Band, was fine
Well I had a WNDA3100v2 – N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter before and it crapped out on me. Looks like it just went dead from years of use. I went to the store and bought the current model that I'm using, the AC1200, I started to experience choppy connections online while gaming. The N600 was fine, no connection issues and only slowed down if other people were heavily using the net. Now my ping time in game is 10-20ms but i'm experiencing spikes where the connection is choppy. I look and I see no fluctuation of ping. Streaming videos is fine, downloads are fine. I installed the new drivers without the genie right off the bat and it was spiking. I then installed the genie to see if it would fix it. Did not work. Reset the router. Still spiking. I'm about to go return it. It seems like it's a hardware issue, weird how the lesser model outperforms.3.1KViews0likes1CommentNetgear USB Adapter Randomly Stops Working
So, I have a Netgear WNDA3100v2 wireless adapter that I use as the primary wireless driver for my home PC. It's honestly been a pretty good card for the past year that I've had it. However, lately it will randomly stop working. It never did this in the past, but only started recently. Firstly, it will randomly stop detecting any and all access points or wireless networks (there are a few wireless networks I can pick up other than my own, but I have my network set to a unique channel), and I'll have to unplug it, then plug it back in. Secondly, it will work for anywhere between 1-2 weeks, and then it will just crap out, and I'll have to reinstall the driver. I usually have to restart my PC as well before I install the driver. I'll also have to get a fresh copy of the drivers (which I can do from my phone luckily) otherwise it won't work. I've tried using the adapter with and without a usb extension cord, and with multiple versions of the driver, but it always craps out after a week or two. I know this isn't a problem with the router, since my phone and macintosh have no issues with internet connectivity. I was wondering if this was a common problem with the adapter, and if there was anyway to fix it. Currently, I am running V2.2.0.3 of the driver for the adapter on Windows 8.1 Pro. If any additionaly specs or info are needed, I'd be more than happy to give them. Thanks for any help in advance :)4.2KViews0likes3CommentsExtended wifi disconnects
I have a Netgear EX6100, and the wifi speed is incredible. There is just one problem. My mobile device will not hold a connection with the extended wifi. We bought an extender specifically for access to Internet in my room, and the speed is fast. The extended wifi will just disconnect every time I try to use an application that requires Internet. I have used my mom's phone and my laptop to see if they do the same thing, and they do, and it happens through the whole house. I have tried moving the extended closer to my room, and in several different locations, and it does the same thing. Can anyone tell me why I can't use the extended version, but my normal wifi works perfectly fine? (Also, if this helps, I used Genie Smart Setup to create a connection- I was thinking maybe I should get my wifi protected and change it to WPS setup?)2.3KViews0likes1Comment
