4 TopicsComcast customers: will Firmware V3.01.14 fix my N450 (CG3000Dv2) connectivity issues?
For the past half a year, my N450 (CG3000Dv2) cabel modem router has been completely unreliable. It regularly drops connection. Sometimes restarting helps, sometimes it doesn't. I've rebooted the box a couple times, and that helps for maybe a day, sometimes less. This connectivity issue seems to be a common complaint for N450, and also seems to be tied to the V3.01.06 firmware (makes sense to me, based on when my problems started). I see that V3.01.14 has been pushed by Comcast to its customers. Any Comcast N450 customers on here who had connectivity issues with V3.01.06? And if so, did those problems go away with V3.01.14? I have Spectrum, which is still using V3.01.06. It's really frustrating to be experiencing this problem, especially since I had suffered through the same issue over a year ago. That time, the probably spontaneously resolved, presumably when the Firmware was updated. I think it happened around the same time as the Time Warner Cable merger with Charter, and this time the problem seems to correspond with the mergers with Spectrum.3.9KViews0likes8CommentsC6250 new issues on wired & wireless connection with PS4
Hey everyone, I've run into some issues with my router that I have so far been unable to remedy. The router is only about a month old, and for the first 3 weeks everything worked awesome. Since then I had changed no settings or configurations, and all of a sudden my PS4 has become extremely unstable with the router. Every time I try to test internet connection on PS4, it gives me either failed internet test, or failed NAT test and in some cases failed uploasd speeds. Also the speeds are incredibly slow in comparison to what it was before this started happening. Used to be 90-130Mbps, now I'm lucky to see 8Mbps if. Keep in mind this is the wired connection. Just a note, laptops and other devices(android phones) exhibit some of the intermittent connection issues, but don't seem nearly as extreme. What I have tried: -Restarting router/PS4 -Static IP for PS4 -PS4 placed in DMZ -Forwarding all necessary ports to PS4 -DMZ and Port forward at same time -Checked cable line power(All within normal range) -Plugged laptop into router, had same intermittent issue with that wired connection -Went wifi connection on PS4, did not solve issue Has anyone else had this issue before? I feel like I have tried everything and I'm starting to think I may have gotten defective hardware. Any advice is greatly appreciated!2.7KViews0likes1CommentFirmware Frustration on CM400
About a month ago, the Netgear modem I have been using with my ISP for 2 years abruptly stopped working. After multiple tech visits out to my place, and replacing the modem with the same model to no avail, my ISP finally determined the problem to come from a recent series of upgrades to their network they did recently. They told me the firmware might be out of date on my modem--they said it should be 1.01.17 and because I did a few factory resets to make sure the modem was running properly, my firmware was downgraded to 1.01.10. If this is correct, I cannot connect to my ISP to update the firmware. Is there any possible way to update my modem? Also, if this helps, the issue with my modem has been that downstream will bond OK, but upstream will not.2.3KViews0likes1CommentC3700 drops connection intermittently
Hello. I have had my modem since installing service almost 2 years ago. I get intermittent wi-fi signal dropped on a daily basis. We never knew how oftern thi was happening until we started to stream movies. Prior to we only used wi-fi or cellphone/tablet usage so we assumed it was our internet signal. TWC/Spectrum has been out recently and noted they found no signal outtage emmiting from their servie and adviced my modem/router fimrware was outdated or not updaetd to the current version. Since I have logged in and found my modem/router automatically updates the firmware. I have tried changing Channels on both networks (2.4/5) and still no changes. I am also using a Netgear range extender WN3000RPv3, however notice the signal drops on both networks not just where i use the extender. Please help!! :(3.3KViews0likes1Comment
