I have the latest firmware. I'm located a floor above my router and use the EX6150 so that I can get a stronger connection in my room. I've noticed that every hour or so, the connection will drop for a few seconds and then reconnect. I used to own the EX6100 and I never had this problem before. Does anyone have any idea as to what is happening here and why this is happening with the new extender but not the old one? I know that it isn't the extender itself because I also own an EX6400 and the same issue occurs. Things I've tried: - Updated to the latest firmware. - Switched Wifi channels. - Removed devices from my network. - Moved the extender to be slightly closer to my router. - Reset the extender. - Reset the router. - Replaced the ethernet cable the extender connects to my PC with. - Replaced the power strip. I'm really at a loss.1.3KViews0likes1CommentR6400 wired connection drops out briefly every half hour or so (wireless never does)
Hello all. This is regarding my R6400 WiFi Router with the most recent firmware (V1.0.1.34_1.0.24). For a long time now my ethernet cable connection from Router to desktop PC (windows 10 64) has disconnected briefely every half hour or so (sometimes more sometimes less it's hard to gauge). I would say it goes out for about 10 seconds then returns. I see a little red X over the internet symbol in the taskbar when this happens so it's definitely going down for whatever reason. It's not the worst problem one can have, but sometimes I play online poker and it can make a huge difference there when in a big pot happening. I really can't risk it anymore and need to solve this. I tried switching which port the cable is plugged into but got the same problem. Any ideas? I guess I could buy another wireless adaptor if I can't solve this since our wireless connections never drop, but I'd rather not have to shell out money when the ethernet connection SHOULD work. Thanks everyone!SolvedEnabling dynamic QOS on R7000P causes internet to disconnect
I've had this router for a month. For the most part, it works fine. But I've been noticing random lag spikes and disconnects while playing World of Warcraft (my wife gets them too, seemingly at random, and never at the same time they happen to me, even when we're both playing WoW together). Both of our PCs are on wired connections to the router. Per recommendations from the battle.net forums, I tried to enable Dynamic QOS on the router to see if that would help with the issue. However, as soon as I enable & apply Dynamic QOS (prompting a router reboot), all internet connectivity drops, and stays off after the router finishes rebooting. I can still access the router configuration, thankfully, but at that point all I can do to restore internet connectivity is turn Dynamic QOS off and reboot the router again. I would try Advanced QOS instead, but I can't find that anywhere in the router configuration. If it helps, I have Comcast Xfinity 100Mbps (speedtest.net says ~115Mbps upload, ~6Mbps download) using my own Motorola/Arris SURFboard SB6121 modem. I'm using the latest firmware (1.0.1.14). I can't find anyone else here or elsewhere reporting this problem. Any ideas?Solved34KViews0likes11Comments
