Unable to contact SMTP host. Please check your entry. (ReadyNAS NVX / RAIDiator 4.2.30)
I have used a gmail account as my alert destination for years. After recently failing to receive a set of "volume scrubbing" alert that I receive monthly, I tested the email configuration. The test resulted in the "Unable to contact SMTP host. Please check your entry." message. I checked the gmail settings to confirm they were correct. I then switched the alert email account to an iCloud email account, which I configured as a custom email account using the settings provided by Apple. Same test result (Unable to contact SMTP host . . .). I only recently updated to RAIDiator 4.2.30 but can't claim definitely that the email issue coincided with that update. Hello, Have written before but never had a reply. I need my LB2120 LTE modem to send me a message when it fails over to 4g but I cannot find a data plan that also will send a text so it would be great if we had the option for sending an email. Moin, ich versuche in meinem Orbi System die emails Settings einzustellen. Ich habe einen email account bei all-inkl. Leider klappt es nicht da der MAilserver als Fehler (504 5.5.2 <mail-user@RBR40>: Sender address reje zurückgibt. Heisst das OrbiTeil bräuchte eine vollqualifizierte Return Adresse. Ich habe es nun zwar mit einem gamail account hinbekommen, aber auchnur dadurch, dass ich die sicherheitsstfe runtergeschraubt habe. Bei einem BrotherDrucker klappt das versenden wunderbar, da hier auch die "email-Adresse des Gerätes eingegeben werden kann. Ich hoffe Netgear kann dass fixen, wenn all die anderen Problem mit dem Teil endlich mal wieder geflickt sind. BTW, kann man die Protokolle auch gesprächiger machen. I sold my Nighthawk and the new owner wants to register his email address to the device so he can take advantage of the USB functionality. Support is being beyond stupid and asking me to file a ticket even though the system doesn't let me do so. Error message is: [email failed] Failed to Connect Tcp Socket! 360 I am guessing that my email provider changed port 25, but cannot be sure. Tried three other smtp servers I have available including gmail, poutlook, etc and none work. Can you help me get this working again please? I've configured both of my ReadyNAS 314 (OS 6.6.1 and earlier) to send out email alerts via Gmail, and they have worked reliably. I get alerts for Power Off, Reboot, Backup status, Drive failure, etc. The ONLY alert I have NOT been getting is when the NAS is powered ON. This has never worked, in fact, for any version prior to OS6 6.6.1. I have not yet upgraded to the latest OS6 (6.7, I believe). I have a second NAS 314 that I keep powered off. When it gets turned on by an unauthorized person, I'd like to get alerted that somebody powered it on. The logs do show the Power On event ("System: ReadyNASOS background service started"). There appears to be no email addon for the ReadyNAS series (any model). This appears to be a serious omission. The ReadyNAS would be perfect for local subnet mail receipt and access. Three of my devices want to mail their logs elsewhere, and for security reasons the ReadyNAS would be the perfect choice.Solvedemailing logs
I'm trying to set up E-MAil logs on the FVS338. Years ago this already worked successfully. E-Mail Server: securesmtp.t-online.de Custom SMTP Port: 587 E-Mail User account from ISP: t-online I have ticked "Login Plain" entering username and password from ISP t-online. I have ticked "Respond to Identd from SMTP Server. The FVS338 ist installed directly behind a FRITZBOX 7490. The fritzbox is connected to the VDSL Line. Basically there is a DMZ between the FRITZBOX 7490 and the FVS338 but with now additional devices connected to it. FVS338 Firmware: 3.1.1-08 (Latest version) IP Address Fritzbox 7490: 192.168.2.1 Gateway address in FVS338: 192.168.2.1 Satic IP Address from FVS338: 192.168.2.109 LAN TCP/IP Setup: IP Address: 192.168.100.109 in FVS338 DHCP Server in FVS338 is enabled. Using FVS338 Diagnostics, it can resolve the SMTP-server securesmtp.t-online.de. Ping on resolved IP-Addresses is working fine. Checking the SMTP-server login data using the FRITZBOX 7490 is successful ( I'm receiving Mails from the Push service of the Fritzbox 7490) Checking SMTP-Server settings using Microsoft Outlook / POP3 is successful as well. All internet applications are working excellent. When Trying to send Logs via E-MAil (Menu: "Firewall Logs & EMail/View Log/"SendLog") , the router responds with "Connection interrupted" No e-Mails are sent out or received by my E-Mail provider. My Question: What is wrong in my FVS338 Settings ? Is there a possibility to check the communication problem of the FVS338 with the SECURSSMTP.t-online.de ? I get the following error message when trying to send an email to contacts providing a link to my photo albums. Hello. I've searched this forum but only found posts that were closed (for inactivity) without a solution. I'm trying to setup my RN312000 email service to sent alerts but I keep getting authentication errors. I'm currently trying: smtp.gmail.com - port: 587 - TLS: checked. Username and password are, of course, correct. Error I get: Unable to send email. Cannot send test message. Check authentication settings. Code 5008010001. Error from msmtp. I've also tried port: 465 (cannot uncheck TLS button because it's disabled), and gotten the same error. I've seen many posts where it was reccommended to "enable less secide devices", but where do I enable that? I can't find any such setting in my gmail account settings. I've also seen suggestions to add the google DNS server (8.8.8.8) in the NAS DSN server list, but I can't find where I can add that in the NAS Admin page either. Please help.
