When trying to shutdown my ReadyNAS 204 it hangs with an error of do_exit+9ec on display. The only way to recover is to disconnect the AC power cord and reconnect. I have the most current version of firmware as of 05/27/17. Version 6.7.4. Same error occurs regardless of how it is done. Occurs when shutting down from the power button or from the system device webpage. Any suggestions? Had a similar problem when I first purchased this unit. A beta firmware solved the problem then. The problem reappeared when upgrading to the next publicly available released firmware. Please advise. Thank you.12KViews0likes64CommentsCant enable SMB on ReadyNas 316
Hi, I noticed that SMB service on my ReadyNas 316 with version 6.9.3 stopped working 2 days ago and I can't turn it on. At first I didnt see the shares and after reboot, I saw that SMB was turned off. I have tried to search for any solutions but I cant find one. I really don't want to do an factory reset. What I tried so far: OS Reinstall Downgrade from: 6.9.3 -> 6.9.1 -> 6.9.0 -> 6.8.1 and then back to 6.9.3 = None version is working Update pagages with "apt upgrade" When I run "systemctl status -a smb": root@NAS:~# systemctl status -a smb smb.service - Samba SMB Daemon Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/smb.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Sat 2018-04-28 13:18:04 CEST; 49s ago Process: 8988 ExecStart=/usr/sbin/smbd --foreground --no-process-group $SMBDOPTIONS (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE) Main PID: 8988 (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE) Apr 28 13:18:03 NAS systemd[1]: Starting Samba SMB Daemon... After the automated disk maintainance had ran I found it could no longer be discovered on the net. So I powered down and up my RN204 to find the weird 'resyncing' message on the LCD screen. Took several hours to resync. After that I find no volumes on the NAS and the confusing error message in my RAIDar screen with status message that volume data is rad level 5 and there is 0 MB data. Also a second volume that is new with same message, both in yellow highlight. Wen I log in as Admin I find a 'Please remove inactive volumes in order to use the disk. Disk #1,2,3,4 in order to use the drive' and the disks marked in red instead blue in the picture of the raid. Not shure what caused this, nor how to solve this. Use Readynas 204 with four bays containing identical 6 TB WD60EFRX drives (none of them indicating errors in SMART) in RAID 5 (Xraid) confing on lastest FW (v6.8.0) No clue how to solve this error. Can someone please help me with some advice? Thanks Hans1KViews0likes3CommentsCannot install Apps on 6.8.0
Any attempt on 3 different ReadyNAS's (just updated to 6.8.0 firmware), to install downloaded App .deb files results in "cannot read property 'childNodes' of undefined" error. Doesn't matter which app I try, always get the same problem. Using 'system/settings/install firmware' button and uploading relevant app .Deb file just downloaded from 'Apps/available apps/install'.iPad app "Error The operation couldn't be completed at this moment, try again"
Hi, We just got readygear Nas cloud server, we have firmware 6.6.1 and have version 1.5.9 of the iPad app. Sometimes it works but more often than not when i go into one of the folders it says "Error The operation couldn't be completed at this moment, try again". And then it pulls me back to the previous folder. Whats up? Everything is running fine with the desktop access but iPad seems to not work, even though its connecting to the server it gets bogged down trying to go into the folders. I will say sometimes it works and i can get into folders and open files but other times it doesnt. Doesnt seem very consistent. Any help or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.3.7KViews0likes5CommentsError Messages

I searched for this message on the community forum, and the documentation, but no reference to this specific message. What does it mean? What action is required.
