I am having issues with my EX2700 after the latest firmware update. It worked fine the first day and the next day it asked me to sign in to the network. Now I get it connected but then for some reason a little later it disconnects me and I have to to the whole sign in thing again. And when I say in (on my Galaxy Note 5) I open up the setting for networks and it says sign in and I just leave it there and it just connects. Did I set something up wrong and is anyone else having this issue?SolvedAmazon says EX2700 can be used as access point, thru software switch (it has no hardware AP switch)
Also, I have gathered from a few Amazon reviewers that EX2700 can easily be set up in AP Mode, by simply connecting it to wireless modum/router with ethernet cable. Can someone here provide or point me to a simple step-by-step procedure for setting up my new EX2700 (Essentials Edition) as a wireless access point? Thanks in advance for any help. hl-louisiana7.3KViews1like2CommentsEX2700 firmware update problem: You are not connected to your extender's WiFi network.
I am trying to update the firmware on my EX2700 Wi-Fi range extender. I've downloaded the firmware (version # 1.0.1.42). I follow the instructions in the release notes to go to URL http://www.mywifiext.net/, but I get an error message: "You are not connected to your extender's WiFi network" However, I AM connected to the extender network, rather than the router network. I get the error message with every browser I use: Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Internet Explorer. My computer is a Microsoft Surface Pro IV, running Windows 10 Pro. What can I do?Solved6.3KViews0likes4CommentsEX2700 device connection problem (failed to obtain ip address)
I set up the extender without too much trouble. It was working for a bit to connect to my mobile phone. However, now my phone can't successfully connect to the ext network. It gives the error "failed to obtain ip address." The "device" indicator light on the extender itself is red, even though I'm within 10 yards of the device. Update: after unplugging and replugging it in a few (~5 times), now the device indicator is green, and my phone can connect. Is this normal behavior? Or did I get a defective extender?5.5KViews0likes3CommentsUn problème de configuration lié à la région (Amérique du Nord VS Europe)
I can't connect to mywifiext.net I can connect from my Android phone to the EX2700's WiFi network, but when I hit that site, I see: { "reset":"1" } So I went into my primary router, found out the IP Address this EX2700 was using, and connected to it directly: http://192.168.1.127 (in my case) And it worked. Is www.mywifiext.net supposed to somehow connect to that IP address??Solved3.4KViews0likes1CommentEX2700 Channel Configuration
EX2700 Channel Configuration Greetings, I don't know how to access the strongest channel my community WIFI offers where I am staying. I've identified the best channels using WiFi Analyzer on my smartphone which identified Channels 5, 6 and 14 and not sure how to get started tapping onto these channels. I am using a WIndows10 laptop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!3.3KViews0likes1CommentCan never get to www.mywifiext.net
I have just purchased this extender less than 2 weeks ago.It worked great up till 2 days ago.Now when my signal drops between 4 to 6 times a day. When I try to go to another netgear site it tells me I,m not connected. How are we suppose to get these set up properly if we can never get onto the web site?I have tried IE,Google Chrome, and Firefox.I cleared my cookies, history, cache, and everything else. And still nothing. It just keeps saying either My firewall is stopping it or I am not connected to the internet and to rest the page which never works.Mcafee does not have certain web sites that are blocked.Only something called netguard, and when I turned that off I was hit with tons of pop ups in seconds. Is there anything else I can try before taking this thing back?Thank You3.2KViews0likes4Comments
