FVS318G Telnet LAN<>WAN firewall settings not working
Hello, when logging into the router via telnet and accessing the fw / lan-wan settings, I cannot use the show function nor can I disable or enable any rules. I need this to work for an automated task that should change these parameters. It tells me that I provided too few parameters, however the show functions in the other routing virtual folders seem to work just fine without any additional arguments. Am I missing something, or is there a way to contact Netgear so that they can finally fix this and some other issues in the firmware. Or do I really have to build and flash OpenWrt and do my own, less buggy firmware? Sincerely, Benedikt
[FVS318G] MAC bandwidth limit
Hi, is there a way to limit trafic on the WAN port for a specific MAC address ? The user is using Wifi with a home Netgear access point (WPN802). From Wifi, one user is eating all the bandwidth. There's no Layer 2 switch. It seems the bandwidth profile on the router can't do this. No rules available on the hotspot. Do you see another way to do it ? Thanks, Vincent
really slow internet speed over FVS318G
hi I have 100Mbps over internet cable connection. FVS318G SNMP is connected to the cablecom modem, but the download speed is just 15Mbps. If I try to connect my PC or my notebook to the cable modem directly, then I get 100Mbps. How is the max download speed over FVS318G router with firewall enabled? BTW what happens if I try to change from NAT to Classical Routing between WAN & LAN interfaces, it will disable firewall?

Hi all! Have the opportunity to consider in fvs318g traffic for each user with a third-party programs or can only view the traffic with the traffic meter option (Total Traffic Volume & traffic by protocol) If possible - tell me how ?! In the new versions of firmware will be the chance? or use the old scheme - port mirroring + software calculate ( for exammple- tmetr) sorry if my english .Just wanted to describe my problem and hear solutions from colleagues thanks for your answers
