Buongiorno a tutti. Come faccio quindi a fare l'aggiornamento senza perdere tutto? e senza dover riconfigurare completamente l'apparato a mano? Mi chiedo anche se l'aggiornamento dei due firewall (stesso modello) che creano la VPN deva essere contestuale o se possono avere due firmware diversi, almeno per il tempo di eseguire l'update anche sul secondo? Grazie a chi mi possa aiutareSolved4.3KViews1like4CommentsFVS336GV2 Upgrade from -V4.3.1-18 to v4.3.3-6 connection disconects

Hello, We are having an issue when downloading files the internet connection seems to crash. We get the "This site can’t be reached. ...server DNS address could not be found" Latest issue is when trying to download Adobe Creative Cloud apps (photoshop, premiere, etc.). When downloading, no websites can be reached including the admin panel on the firewall, When I cancel the download connectivity is restored. I found and tried this with no luck: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Managed-Switches/FVS336Gv2-DNS-Issues/m-p/1058861#M1590 Firmware version is 4.3.3-62.3KViews0likes2CommentsSNMP polling issue FVS336GV2
Hi all, Working on setting up snmp polling from a server on the LAN polling the LAN address assigned to the firewall with no luck. Few things I've noticed, I did a packet capture from the snmp management server and the firewall (capturing on the LAN interface), the packet capture from the snmp management server shows the getrequest sent out, and the capture from the firewall does not show it was received on the LAN interface, however here is the odd the part, I then enabled system logs to log all unicast traffic and seeing the snmp traffic from the management server to the firewall LAN address, but do not see a getresponse from the firewall in either case. Hitting my head against the wall with this one, should be a 10 minute setup, any input is apprecaited!Solved4.5KViews0likes10CommentsFVS336GV2 VLANS and Port Forwarding - firmware 4.3.3-6
Howdy, Correct me if I am wrong, but in order to get full VLAN support I need to use 4.x firmware. I saw the LAN Groups in firmware 3.11.0-8, but it didnt really look like true VLANs (but I could be wrong). Let me know if I can get this working with firmware 3.11.0-8 As well, once upgraded to 4.3.3-6 (to get VLAN support) I am having difficulty getting Port Forwarding for RDP AKA Terminal Services (port 3389) to work. I want to achieve 3 VLANs, port forwards, and VPN access with this environment: Port/VLAN 1 (Default - Office Network -- port forwards and VPN access) Port/VLAN 2 (Phones) Port/VLAN 3 (Video) ...and I'd like to get the Port Forwards to work currently. I havent't tried getting the VPN working yet as I have to get the ISP to correct something with the Modem/Gateway first so I can get to the interface to change settings and allow the IPSec traffic to pass through. I'd like to keep the Modem's Wifi working so I can use it as as a guest Wifi. As it stands, I have told the FVS336GV2 (192.168.10.x network) to forward 3389 on TCP and UDP from WAN1 (192.168.0.x) to the IP of the device I am trying to reach in the 192.168.10.x network. WIndows Firewalls are set to OFF for Public and Private interfaces. I have validated I can get to port 3389 if I connect a 2nd NIC directly to the ISP's Gateway (192.168.0.x) on a different IP than the FVS336GV2's WAN1 IP and change the port forward on the ISP's gateway to this IP, but the FVS336GV2 doesnt act like it even sees the traffic (no firewall logs) when the Forward is set to the WAN1 IP in the ISP's Gateway. Any thoughts on how I can get this sorted out? Or is firmware 3.11.0-8 capable of VLANS as needed, as I know the port forwards and VPN work there. P.S. according to the firmware notes for 4.x, there is a 25% speed drop as a result of the newer firmware. Is the 25% speed drop just in the interface for the FVS336GV2 or the overall performance of the network activity of the device itself? Please and Thank You, StevenSolved5KViews0likes4CommentsConfiguring 1-1 NAT on FVS336GV2
Thought I had this figured out, but it's not working. I have 5 public IPs: x.x.x.153-157 I have 3 mail servers: 10.200.10.2-4 WAN Mode is NAT, and I've set up an inbound SMTP rule as follows: Service: SMTP Action: ALLOW always Send to LAN Server: Address Range Start: 10.200.10.2 Finish: 10.200.10.4 WAN Destination IP Address: Address Range Start: x.x.x.153 Finish: x.x.x.155 WAN1 is set to x.x.x.153 with subnet & gateway per ISP. I can ping .153, but not .154 or .155. All servers work (individually) with single-server port forwarding, none work with 1-1. Double-checked external DNS; all correct. Am I missing a setting or something?13KViews0likes6CommentsFVS336G v2 Locks up with printed report
This one has me cpmpletely baffled. I have a FVS336G v2 - latest firmware 3.0.7-24 and it is a pretty simple setup. One VPN tunnel to our corporate office, a dozen or so users. When we print a report, just a common, ordinary sales report, the router locks up. No VPN access, no internet access. Must reboot the router and it works again - until we print the report. Other reports work just fine. This one is only about 7 pages. This router will run fine for days until this report is printed. I changed out the router with a second one, same results. There seems to be some control code in this printed report job that is locking up the router. I can recreate this at will. Tried a brand new printer, different IP address and cable. Same lockup. The print job runs through the VPN. I unchecked everything except ping under Attack Checks. Could it be something with the encryption? Has anyone seen this before?9.3KViews0likes9Comments
