My router does not want to stay connected to the internet? It jumps back and fourth between Looking for Networks and on constantly? If I restart my IMac it seems to solve the problem temporarily? But ends up not being able to stay connected.Solved3.4KViews0likes10CommentsClient Isolated Between Router and Satellites
Hello. Can someone help me figure out what setting i need to change so that clients can communicate between orbi devices (satellite to satellite, satellite to router, and router to satellite)? I have two kids that play minecraft, and forwhatever reason, I cannot get them to join if ipads are on different orbi devices. I am on firmware 2.1.4.10. I have also had issues getting two Xbox Ones to see each other. One is wired to the router and one is wired to the satellite. Will installing too many satellites do more harm than good? More coverage than necessary overkill.
So I just moved into a new 2-story house that's 2600 square feet. Typical suburban home. Ideally, I should get a one router/one satellite system like the RBK40, RBK22, or even the RBK50. However, I'm looking at larger systems for sale like the RBK53 which is one router/two satellites and even the RBK44 which is one router/three satellites. And these are rated to cover 7,500 to 8,000 square feet respectively. My question is will installing a system that's rated to cover more area and installing that into a smaller home do more harm than good? Will installing too many satellites when you don't need them give you better coverage or is it counterproductive?WNR2020 - 403 forbidden error on Port Forwarding
When I initially setup this router, I had added one custom port forward service that works. However, now when I try to edit the existing setting I get a 403 forbidden page that opens in the main frame of the html interface. The same thing happens when I try to apply a new custom port forwarding service. I can enter the details for a new entry but as soon as I try to save it, I get the 403 page again. I'm running on the latest firmware V1.1.0.44_1.0.1. I have tried different browsers and different devices to no avail. In some browsers, I get the 403. In other browsers, I get a generic error page. In I.E., for instance, I get the error: "The website declined to show this webpage. HTTP 403. Most likely causes: •This website requires you to log in." Obviously, I am already logged in. I have not yet tried a factory reset because I use wifi access list and didn't want to set those up again, but if I have to and a factory reset will help, I'll try that.SolvedRBR40 Router dropping Arris TM822A, I think
I bought an Orbi RBK33 system with RBR40 router last November. Intially, everything was fine, but somewhere along the way it appears the router decides to drop it's connection to the modem (perhaps starting in December). At least, I think this is the problem. I see my WiFi router isn't listed as an available network from all the devices I use (phones, tablets, computer, roku). Sometimes, while monitoring the WiFi, I see our it disappear, come back and disappear again from my devices when having trouble. Most often, I have to cycle power to the router to get it to come back up. It might stay up minutes, hours or a week. It seems like when there is a rough period, it stays up closer to minutes than hours. FWIW I do have a technical background but my knowledge in this area is poor. I logged into my router and there are no new firmware updates to install for the router or sattelites. Perhaps there are other router settings to attend to? I am at a loss. I don't mind throwing money at this problem to replace either the router or modem, but I really would like some idea of which is the culprit before I take a guess. This is the system I purchased: NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Mesh WiFi System with Tri-band – Eliminate WiFi dead zones, Simple plug-in setup, Single network name, Works with Amazon Alexa, Up to 5,000 sqft, AC2200 (Set of 3)Suggestions... Need to update my system?? R7000 & EX6200 to an RBK50???
Good day, I currently have a R7000 in my basement as my main router and an EX6200 as an extender on the main floor. I get pretty good coverage however the EX6200 seems to be failing a little more and think it may be time to replace either it or my whole system. Been looking at the OrbiRBK50 mesh system however keep on reading about how mesh systems operate and not sure if this may be in my best interest. I currently have my pool control system (aquaconnect) and phillips hue lights connected to my extender via eithernet cables. Now with the mesh system would I have to worry about the lights and pool system constantly jumping between the 2.5ghz and 5ghz bands (constantly disconnecting and re-connecting) or is there a way to lock those two particular items into a certian band so it doesn't connect/re-connect all the time???? Thoughts comments??? Please and thanksRBR50 synched with Satellite but cannot find
Firmware 2.1.4.10 Even though the Satellite lights is blue indicating 'synch' my router cannot find the satellite. On the mobile app it acknowledges the router but cannot find the satellite. I have done a cold reboot; power cycle down; etc.. no luck..i have 'synched' a couple fo times and each time i get a solid blue light. But when i try to add satellite on the application it cannot find. anyone have any thoughts how to resolve? thanksCircle Time Limit
I enabled the Circle app on my R8000 fw 1.0.4.12 and set a time limit 3 hours for Internet and 15 mins on Youtube. But I am able to view Youtube for over 30 mins and I check the history. The app said the time I spend on Youtube is . How does the time limit works on Youtube?2.7KViews0likes1Comment
