Hello Guys, i have a big issue with my Range Extender* ( EX7000). (I'm connected to the 2GEXT.) The problem is that my Labtop, Computer connects fine to the RE* ... but my other devices like my PS4, Iphone , IPad have Problems with the Connection. I solved the Problem on the I/phone/pad by typing the CLIENT-ID manually in the WLAN Settings from the RE. But on the PS4 i can't connect to the RE. I tested it via LAN and WLAN Connection.. FAILED.. But when i connect to the main WIFI Connection everything works fine.. Also tried to reset the RE Device.. same result. I also have Problems to connect on http://mywifiext.net/. My Internet explorer tells me ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT while i'm connected to the RE Device... Can anybody help me or have the same Problem with the RE EX7000 ? I see there is a signal strength analyzer for Android, but cannot find one in the Apple App store. I just want to see if it is worth getting the N300 WiFi Range Extender, since the Master BedRoom (on the far side of the apartment from the C3000 modem/wireless router) has pretty good but not great service. Thanks!16KViews0likes1CommentNetgear Wifi booster and iPhone hate each other
I have a Netgear cable router C6300bd in the middle of the home and a Netgear wifi extender EX6150 at the back of the house. The extender is set up in "FastLane mode" - 5ghz connection from main router to booster; then the booster broadcasts a 2.4ghz connection to devices in the back of the house. The setup works well - my Macbook and PS4 are connected to the wifi extender fine, no problems. My iPhone 6 connects to the wifi extender OK. But notifications are delayed. And if I open Facebook messenger, it takes up to 20-30 seconds to connect. I've also had issues checking for new emails which takes forever. Sometimes it shows the "4G" symbol instead of the Wifi connected symbol. The unreliability has forced me to use cellular data on the phone or try and connect it to the main router (with a very weak wifi signal). It just doesn't make sense - because the Macbook and PS4 run exceptionally well I read somewhere that disabling QoS/WMM might fix the issue - but I can't see how to do this for the wifi extender ? Do I need to forward ports ? Are there settings on the C6300 that I need to change ? Any ideas ? iPhone 6 running iOS 10.1.12.2KViews0likes2CommentsMy iPhone connects to my extender but doesn't switch to home wifi when I change rooms!
Hi everyone! Minor problem really but kind of bugging... I have set up my extender in my flat and it works fine - I can now access wifi from the loo ;-) BUT... as I move around my home, I find my phone stays connected to the extender as opposed to automatically connecting to my home router, resulting in a weak-to-non-existant signal. I have to manually switch to my home router in iPhone's settings to access home wifi. As I said, a total first-world problem, but here I am anyway, asking for help! Happy for any tips :-) /Mauricey5.3KViews0likes2Comments
