Hello Community, my AFP Service suddenly stopped. How do I get the AFP service working again?? Stopping and Starting the service in the Browser Interface of ReadyOS gives error: Unable to start and modify service (error code: 15002030001) I even tried to reinstall OS i.e. I installed the 6.8.0 Beta - but still the same error and unavailability of AFP as before. the AFP log also shows errors (see below) - but I don't no any further measures to get the service working again. I need AFP working for MacOS TimeMachine Backups. Ideas and help greatly appreciated. Since upgrading to the latest Mac OS (High Sierra) this week, my MacBook Pro no longer sees the external USB drive hanging off of my R8000P Nighthawk X6S router as a Time Machine target. This worked up to the moment I upgraded the Mac's OS. I saw in another thread on the community that a guy with a ReadyNAS device was experiencing the exact same issue. Have any of you solved this?Solved6.1KViews0likes4CommentsLink Aggregation with macOS
Hi, I've got two ethernet ports on my Mac mini and have bonded them together with the virtual interface. I've then plugged them both into my GS116Ev2. If I have LAG turned off the Ethernet bond from macOS connects just fine - if I turn LAG on, it disconnects and reports that my switch doesn't support link aggregation. What's going on here? Why are they working with LAG turned off, but not on? Are they even working with an aggregated connection with LAG turned off (is the Mac doing it instead?) should they work with it on?SolvedFVS336Gv3 PPTP VPN for macOS Sierra
Hi Netgear community, One of our sites has a NETGEAR ProSafe™ Gigabit Dual WAN SSL VPN Firewall FVS336Gv3 which has PPTP Server enabled and setup with working users for Windows OS, there is 1 user that uses MAC OS. Since that 1 user upgraded their macOS to Sierra the option for PPTP has been removed (Apple reports the reason is for security). I have tried enabling SSLVPN in the firewall but have struggled to get that working. As a fallback, we are looking at 3rd party clients that can create the VPN using PPTP again. I've looked at some suggested clients (FlowVPN, VPN Tracker, user is trying TunnelBlick) but not getting very far. Ideally, we want a freeware that can do PPTP (unless there is a free SSLVPN option). Any suggestions or if you have got around this issue with macOS Sierra. Many thanks in advance.6.6KViews0likes10CommentsMacOS Sierra and ReadyNAS NV+ cannot find each other
Since upgrading my late 2009 iMac to Sierra, the connection to my beloved ReadyNAS keeping dropping off or will not connect at all. I can find the NAS via RAIDar and can also access media files via Apple TV ver 1 device (XBMC media player). I can 'see' the NAS via the browser URL. The NAS also appears in Finder in the 'Shared' section (NAS, AFP, CIFS options) however none of them gives me access to the files. Same issue when attempting to access NAS with MacBook Air (also upgraded to Sierra). I had none of these issues with the previus MacOS version. This is really really frustrating. Any advise would be most appreciated. I would hate to dump this great NAS because of what might be a trivial issue. HELP!! Many thanks.2.8KViews0likes1CommentHow do I install drivers on macOS (Sierra) for AC340U?
New driver came out today! And for the macOS Sierra (we don't call it Mac OSX anymore). http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26983/(Opens%20in%20new%20window)~/aircard-340u-(at%26t-beam)-downloads-and-documentation?cid=wmt_netgear_organic Since I've upgrade (and later fresh-installed) macOS on my Macbook Pro, the AT&T NetBeam/NetGear AirCard 340U has been rendered disabled. Recognized by the macOS, yes, at USB-level. But the drivers refuse to interact with it. With this NEW driver, I downloaded it. I'm puzzled. It is a zip file. With a 'Contents' folder. And a 'Resources' folder inside that. What is the installation procedure for incorporating this latest and greatest driver into macOS?Solved
