Hello, I got a Netgear AC1750 WiFi Cable Modem Router, "Built-in DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem", Model C6300 about 2-3 years ago. I was using Comcast in my old apartment, but moved to a place with FIOS (internet only). I am on that network as we speak, and my speed test results (from both speedtest.net and Measurement-Lab from Google) show me at 50+ mbps upload and download. However, the network has gone in and out, and it takes a WHILE to show back up. Also, I wanted to change my network name from "NETGEAR75" but I'm unable to log in to my router via 192.168.0.1 or routerlogin.net, the second of which tells me "You are not connected to your Router’s WiFi network." which is clearly false. The network also crashes when I try to connect our new Roku Premiere to the network--it doesn't just not work for the Roku, it knocks out the wifi for the whole apartment, and I need to restart the router! If anyone has any advice here, I would really appreciate it. Clearly the router works on some level with Fios. I'm hoping there's some setting that can be changed to get over these hurdles, and I don't need to get a whole new router or start renting from Verizon again!3.7KViews0likes2CommentsUnable to change all network names for my tri-band router
It started out with three default network names: NETGEAR95 NETGEAR95-5G-1 NETGEAR95-5G-2 The NETGEAR95 is for the 2.4. No matter what I do, there is no way for me to modify the name of NETGEAR95-5G-1. When I log on to the Netgear Genie via the desktop app or the mobile app when logged on to any one of the three networks, I am only able to modify the names of NETGEAR95 and NETGEAR95-5G-2. It is seriously annoying. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!Solved3.8KViews0likes5CommentsSetting up multiple AC1900 Nighthawk Wifi Range Extenders
I want to setup a second AC1900 Nighthawk Wifi Range Extender. I have one at the north side of my house and it works great. I want to add a second one to the south side of my house. 1. Will This work? 2. If it will, the current extender shows up as _2GEXT and _5GEXT. What will the second extender show up as?3.6KViews0likes3Comments
