Hi, we are a small housing facility in St Cloud, MN. I purchased a firewall to add to our business (6 computers and a printer). We currently have a Century Link modem with static ips. Everything was working fine before I connected the Netgear router. In order to just get the network back up, I connected the FVS318G to the Century Link modem and am currently using the ip's provided with FVS318G instead of the static ips. I would like to continue using the static ip's (if in fact they will add another layer of security for our network). The reason for adding the Netgear firewall is to stop the hacking of our printer, which has occurred several times. Also, I am having problems setting up the network printer on a computer using wireless. The computer does not see the printer on the network. Another issue is using remote desktop. I do a lot of remote loging in from home and i have no ideal of how to get this working with the FVS318G firewall. I am a computer person but not a network person and I do not have a lot of time to try and figure this out. I really could use some help or information on vendors in my area who do on-site network support. ThanksSolved4.5KViews0likes5CommentsWin 7 usb control center guest account won't print
Hi I have an issue when trying to print from a guest account on which the USB CONTROL CENTER is installed on the admin account. I can print from the admin account, but not the guest account. Interestingly, when I try to print from the guest account and nothing happents, if I log off, and then log onto the admin account the document prints. I have looked to solve this problem but have yet to find the answer. This is my last hope! Thanks for your time.Solved3.3KViews0likes3CommentsOrbi vlan + wireless printer via usb
Will the USB port on the Orbi router or Orbi sattelite support wireless printing via plugged in printer very soon? Also why does the Orbi not support vLAN tagging out of the box, which has me hoping this also is coming very soon, the Nighthawk range supports both. I'd like to use Orbi as primary router with Vodafone Fibre an currently it's current setup is capped by these limitations.
