problem
8 TopicsRN3138 From linux to SMB share
Hello. I'm running a FreePBX VoiP server and I'm trying to share recorded calls directly to the ReadyNAS SMB share. The problem is that I'm constantly getting a permision denied error. I've mapped the smb share on the PBX and I'm able to create folders and even files through mkdir or nano logged as root. Unfortunately the automatic system which saves the recordings is not using a root account or privilages - it uses different user. And that's where I'm stuck and I don't really know how to make it work. I've created a username on ReadyNAS with same credentials as on the PBX and it still doesn't want to work. Does anyone know how to make it work, or should I just try to do it in a different way (maybe an rsync? FTP?). I know it sounds complicated, but the goal that I want to achive is simple - to give everyone an access to their recorded calls right after they finish the conversation, and the default location of the recorded calls is on the PBX server where only I have access (and it has to stay that way :) ). I'm aware that it's not only ReadyNAS related, but maybe someone had simillar problem (maybe not directly with PBX but with any other linux-based system). Cheers.Solved1.2KViews0likes1Commentunable to login through www [ReadyNas 104 10400]
Hello, I have following device: - ReadyNas 104 (RN104) - Operating with 6.0.X software (from what I recall) And I have following problem: - Can't IP access it: This site can’t provide a secure connection 192.168.1.3 doesn't adhere to security standards. ERR_SSL_SERVER_CERT_BAD_FORMAT - earlier I was able to see the login page, but it didn't let me in, the pswd recovery thingy didnt allow me to send a reset, and the password that I used was not accepted (kept reloading the page to show me the login box again) - now I'm still able to access it through Windows and copy forth and back things, and I can still access the admin login page from mobile browser. but. it repeats the problem with relogging the login page. What is wrong, what could be damaged and what is the possible solution for this? I feel a little bit helpless, especially now, when I need to move to a new laptop. Thanks in advance for any help. Hi, I have 2 SATA 2TB drives. When I login to the NAS I get: Remove inactive volumes to use the disk. Disk #1,2. I've double checked to ensure there are no USBs etc plugged into the machine. I've upgraded the firmware to the latest (6.7.4) The drives have re-synced however there are 2 RED HDDS showing when I look in "Volumes" I have the chance to format the drives however I don't want to as I have data on there that I can't lose When I look at the lights, there are 2 solid blue LED lights on each hard drive number. Hi, I have a problem filling out the hostname on screen two when setting up Photos II and it does not allow med to go further on. It seems like it should be filled out from before, however it is empty. When trying to fill out and set the hostname the error message is invalid caracters. I found some other posts on the subject from 2014 but that gave me no answer. Tried and failed: Reinstalling Photos 3 times Using Chrome, Safari and even from iPad (since one post reported browser as a problem) Changing the name of the server I'm not very Linux savy, but I get around and can do some changes if needed. Any advise would be most helpful.ReadyDLNA turning off by itself
Hi guys, does anybody have a recent problem that DLNA service (and the "button" in settings) just turns off by itself? I enable it again and again, and it kid of works for couple of minutes, and when I refresh the screen, it shows DLNA service turned off, and the service is not working. Model RN102, with latest FW updated. Maybe it's the latest FW issue? and it all just started a couple of weeks ago, after 1yr of flawless work :( thanx GeorgeSolved3KViews0likes4CommentsUltra2 - wanting RAID-0, getting X-RAID2 - help!
Hello there, I've got a ReadyNAS Ultra 2 with one 3TB disk. It got filled with data, so I've decided to buy additional 3TB disk and (sadly) without RTFM, I installed it in the NAS. I was then greeted with a Resync process which took quite some time, and after that I've noticed that instead of having additional ~2,7 TB of space, I actually still have none. It was then that I've realized that the NAS has the X-RAID2 set as a default. I know I've done badly as the user here, but I'd really need your help here, as I've very little time to make it right, as I can't get on with my work until I'm having additional disk space :(. Let's sum up: - The data is very important, cannot delete it. - Cannot backup the data any further, as I've just bought a new disk and I'm out of storage to backup almost 3TB od data. - I'm in urgent need of additional space, so setting the new disk free of its X-RAID2 grasp would be great. What can I do? I'll be grateful for some help here.Solved3.8KViews0likes9CommentsRN202 connection does not accept username/password
Hi, I just started using a new RN202. Setup works fine, Updated to the latest firmware version. I created a folder and want to connect using a drive letter form my Windows 10 desktop. The first step works fine, it accepts the share name: //Nas2/media/Gebruikers For the share I switched on SMB and anonymous access The Windows asks for a "reference" user and password I tried to: a) ignore it b) use the admin username and password c) create a user, and enter that username/password tried my windows username (not password protected) Nothing seems to work. How do I get access? It is nowhere described in a simple way in the software manual. I want anonymous access without password. So, not very happy at the moment. This takes far too much time. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance. RudolfSolvedTransmission 3.00.6 problems
