range extender

I have the latest firmware. I'm located a floor above my router and use the EX6150 so that I can get a stronger connection in my room. I've noticed that every hour or so, the connection will drop for a few seconds and then reconnect. I used to own the EX6100 and I never had this problem before. Does anyone have any idea as to what is happening here and why this is happening with the new extender but not the old one? I know that it isn't the extender itself because I also own an EX6400 and the same issue occurs. Things I've tried: - Updated to the latest firmware. - Switched Wifi channels. - Removed devices from my network. - Moved the extender to be slightly closer to my router. - Reset the extender. - Reset the router. - Replaced the ethernet cable the extender connects to my PC with. - Replaced the power strip. I'm really at a loss.1.3KViews0likes1CommentGuest Network on Range Extenders
Looking to buy Netgear EX8000, EX7500, EX7300, or EX7000 as range extenders for an existing router (Linksys EA9500). Is it possible to set up dual networks (one standard, and one guest network) with any of these range extenders? The intent of the setup is to have both extender networks to go through single access point SSID. Thanks.2.4KViews0likes1CommentEX6920 AC1200 range extender
Is there a trick to connect the range extender to the 5 ghz band? Range extender only connects to the 2.4 ghz which is b/g/n. Tried pushing WPS button twice, per directions. Reset devices, no joy. Defeats the purpose of extending AC signal if the extender to router link is b/g/n. Network details and perf testing below: Router is NETGEAR R6400. Range extender is NETGEAR EX6920. All devices have been updated with most recent updates (as of 1/21/18). WIFI performance when connected directly in same room as router using Speedtest app: 5ghz network: 104.77 mbps 2.4ghz network: 36.89 mbps WIFI performance when connected to extender near upstairs office area, also using Speedtest app: 15.89 mbps best performance testing over both the 2_GEXT and 5_GEXT Again, the extender is pushing out both 2.4 and 5 ghz signal but it will only connect on the 2.4 band to the router which degrades the performance.685Views0likes2CommentsWifi Extender for Wired Gaming

I have a range extender and I have used it at my house before easily with no problem. Currently I am away at college and the Wi-Fi only reaches half of my room so I figured why not being my range extender. The problem is at home all you need is a password. Here you need to add a username and password but it only gives me the option for a paraphrase Or in normal case where you put in the password. How can I make it work?983Views0likes1CommentI cannot find www.mywifiext.net
Hi, I am trying to install my new range extender. I don't have WPS so I need need to setup my connection through the web. I can connect to the NETGEAR_EXT network, but am unable to open www.mywifiext.net - the server cannot be found. I am able access other web sites. Is there another address I should be using? I have a Netgear EX7000 Nighthawk range extender that has been set up for about 4-5 months now. It has worked great up until now. I noticed the WPS, 2.4ghz and the 5g leds are blinking on it. I power cycled the extender to no avail. At times the internet still works even though these LEDs are blinking, but I've also noticed that it will also go amber and then solid green. I contacted support last night via the My Support page and was told that since my 90 days is up, call someone to troubleshoot hardware, but they closed the case. The Range Extender is connected to a Netgear router that appears to be functioning ok. Anyone else run into this issue before?6.4KViews0likes7Comments
