Hi, I've just upgraded our NetGear ReadyNAS RR4312X from 6.8.0 to 6.9.1 and actioned a reboot using the webUI after the upgrade. However once again (this happens after every FW upgrade), the system fails to come online again. The system doesn't even respond to PINGs. - We have to power cycle the system after every upgrade to get it back online again. NB: The firmware installs successfully everytime, so it's just the reboots afterwards that are problematic. Not good for remote sites! Any idea's please? P.S. my entered text 'ReadyNAS RR4312X wont save in the 'Model' section of this web support form.1.6KViews0likes7CommentsReadynas 102 restarts services constantly - unable to access data.
My ReadyNas 102 running firmware 6.7.4, seems to be constantly restarting services. I'm sometimes able to see the shares... sometimes even get a few files..., but then it "disappears" and the network location is gone. ... until a minute or so later. Even the web-ui ... I'm sometimes able to see the status-screen before it jumps back into a loading-page waiting for the ui to become responsive again. I've tried reinstalling the OS, but it didn't work. I was thinking about flashing new firmware, but that requires the services to be open long enough for the process to finish.... Is it possible to connect the drive to a computer - windows or linux... and get the data through USB? The drive seems to be ok, although; It's the remains of a degraded RAID-1 setup. Thanks for all advice..Solved1.4KViews0likes6CommentsThere's no power button on the admin page (ReadyNAS OS 6.5.1)
Trying to restart my ReadyNAS "gracefully" from the web page. I followed instructions in the help docs (ReadyNAS OS 6.5 Software Manual), which says to (and even shows a picture on page 197) to click the power icon from the local Admin page (on the Overview tab). Note: the help docs show the power icon right next to the help icon. Problem: there's no such power icon! Was this removed in 6.5.1? How do I reboot the machine?2.3KViews0likes4CommentsReadyNAS Ulta 2, No ping/SSH, Loud fan, No leds (except power)
My ReadNAS Ultra 2 (RNDU2000-100PES) is acting up... Operating system: ReadyNAS OS 6.5.1 This is the second time this has happened... but the device was running fine for at least 15 days before the second time. The device is very loud compared to normal, the PSU fan is blowing really hard. It can't be reached by ping, SSH, or the web interface. The power LED is on, but none of the other LEDs are on - and they are not blinking. There seems to be disk activity due to "vibrations" on the chassis, but I can't be sure. A forced, physicall reboot (holding the power button and pressing it again) seems to fix the issue temporarily, and I can after this ping, SSH, and access the web interface again, and the ACT LED blinks green when it is supposed to. Is the device doing some sort of Btrfs maintenance that I am unaware of - like scrubbing? Any ideas that might help?2.8KViews0likes3Comments
