R7000 - Not able to connect to Network drive after a while.
Hi, After a while of inactivity, I couldn't access my USB HDD that I plugged into the R7000. I went into router setting, open up readyShare page and my network isn't listed in there (see attached pic below). Restart computer won't help. The only thing that I can do to fix it is reboot the router. I think that maybe my USB HDD (WD 6 TB) is "spinning down" (sleep) or something like that. But I'm not sure. Please let me know if anyone has got the same issue and have it resolved. Thanks
New idea for Nighthawk X10 - R9000 Router
Recently I asked the forums if there it's any way that I could set up my external Western Digital connected via USB to my NETGEAR X10 router to hybernate or sleep, while PLEX or other proceses from him are not used. My HDD is a little bit noisy and I can hear it all day and all night spinning in my room. So the answer is NO, there is no way to set this, to a schedule or, simply activate the HDD only when Plex client App is turned on. I hope this will be implemented in the near future.
