Snapshots Stopped Working
Recently my snapshots stopped being taken. They were set to Smart / Daily. I used the "Power Timer" scheduler to turn the NAS off at midnight every night, and previously snapshots were taken at a few seconds after midnight, even though the NAS was to be powered off then. I upgraded to firmware version 6.6.1 recently, and it may be that this version is the cause of the problem. I have now scheduled the NAS to turn off at 01:00 instead and the snapshots have started being taken again. I think the firmware needs to be modified to make sure snapshots are taken regardless of when the NAS powers off. Unfortunately the firmware carried on deleting old snapshots, and by the time I had found out that no new ones were being taken, the firmware had deleted all my snapshots except for my very first manual ones.
