4 TopicsBest Configuration/Settings for Orbi and Spectrum
Just got Orbi main hub and one of the satellite and Spectrum broadband. Main hub is connected through Spectrum's Gateway device. I peak at 118mbps (which is the fastest Spectrum offers) if I'm in the same room as Orbi main hub or satellite. Slowest will be 20ish, but that's in the backyard and still pretty fast. But every once in awhile, my connection will be slow even when I'm in front of either Orbi device. So I'm wondering if there's a Basic/Advanced Setp/Configuration that I need to play with. Or is it my Spectrum Gateway that needs some configuration? From my research, I've read using OpenDNS, disabling Gateway wireless, using Orbi as router, and other terminoligies I'm not familiar with. I am having a very strange set of issues with my device. I recently bought the C6300 with the hope of simplifying my network and having a quality fast Modem Router combo. I was initially able to log on and control the router settings fine (including wifi settings and the such). As soon as the modem was set up on my Spectrum account however things got weird. I can no longer enable the router part of my device. When I log on to the settings through the web portal I now only have two buttons available (Home/Cable Connection) and only have about three buttons available in the advanced settings. Previously I had a large number of options, and I can see them briefly when the page first loads, but then they all disappear. I have tried going into Advanced - Administration - Router Mode and turning it on, but each time the router gets back on line post-restart it defaults back to being off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I don't want to have to go back to my garbage Arris modem. Thanks!1.4KViews0likes4CommentsPorts closed after firmware update
Hi all, I think my Modem was updated by Spectrum (V2.01.18) recently and now a lot of my devices that I remote into are not available. I called Spectrum support and they said that they don't block ports and I should contact the manufacturer and they should be able to open the ports back up. Seems like all my ports except for 8000, 8080, and a couple others are open. The rest are closed. I couldn't find any posts here. Has anyone gotten this problem? Any fixes? Dear Netgear Community, I recently switched ISP from Time Warner (Spectrum) to WOW. The technician who installed my service was unable to remove the Time Warner firmware from my C3000 so that I could use it with my WOW service (despite the fact that this device has a hard reset.) He suggested that I contact Netgear to get help, but I am unable to find a method of contacting Netgear outside of this forum. So, if anyone out there can tell me what I can do to remove the Time Warner firmware (or how I can contact Netgear directly to ask them) so that I can use it with my WOW service I would really apprecate it.
