ReadyNas Duo V2 RND2000v2 ARM RAIDiator 5.3.13 downgrade to 4.x

Hello eveyrbody.

I'm trying to downgrade the firmware of my ReadyNas Duo V2 from 5.13.13 to 4.X.

I tried a factory reset but the reset continues to install the 5.3.13 firmware version.

I tried this guide https://kb.netgear.com/30267/RAIDiator-4-2-USB-Recovery-Tool but unfortunately nothing happen following the guide...

Have you got any suggestion to downgrade the firmware?

I would like to do that in order to try upgrade to the 6.x firmware later on.

Anyone can help me?

Thank you

Matteo Bianco

You can't.  The v2 NAS is an arm platform.

4.1.x runs only on sparc platforms, 4.2.x only runs on x86.

You can't do that either.  While OS-6 does run on arm processors, the duo v2 only has 256 kb of ram.  The ram is soldiered in, so cannot be upgraded.

Meant to type 256 mb, but still not enough ram.  The least capable OS-6 models (RN100 series) have 512mb, and Netgear had to disable some features as the memory footprint of OS-6 increased over time.
