Changing SSID on new installation of AC2600 -performance issue
I recently retired my old AC1200 wifi router and installed a new AC2600.
Once the new router was installed and working, I did a speed test and was getting approx 380 mbps which is fine. I then changed the SSID to my old SSID so my cameras, TV etc would not have to be changed. Once completed I did a repeat speed test and was only getting 50 mbps as opposed to 380 mbps. Long story short after several hours of fooling with it, I started over from scratch and waited 30 minutes to change SSID and this time it was full speed. Curious as to why waiting and not changing SSID immediately messed with the speed.

Re: Changing SSID on new installation of AC2600 -performance issue
How many cameras are connected? Cameras can use up bandwidth and not recommended to speed test if there enabled, connected and streaming. Could drag the speed test results down.
What model router is this? R#### something?

Interesting that after leaving ssid unchanged for 30 minutes, all worked well regardless of cameras etc
