Adding a used satellite

I have an RBR50 and a RBS50 network.  I am buying a used RBS50 to add to the network.

Should i do a factory reset to the used RBS50?  Then should i do the add a satellite procedure in the Orbi app or just push the sync button on the satellite and the main router?

Thank you for your support

    Yes, do a Factory Reset.

Yes, use the Add Orbi Satellite process on the web interface.

After the satellite is on-line in Attached Devices (which can take LONGER than any human thinks necessary), use the Firmware Update menu to confirm that the router and satellite are on the same firmware release.

The current firmware for RBR50/RBS50 is v2.7.5.6

Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
