Any LAN port devices support to Orbi RBK53?
Hello Guys, I just got my RBK53 today and both satellites I have put on second floor, but there’s no extra satellites for me to connect LAN to my CCTV DVR (my main router is far from my DVR). My question is can I use my old tplink/Asus repeater device and connect to Orbi network and transmission network by LAN to my DVR? Or any low cost product that I can get the wireless from Orbi and connect to my dvr thru LAN cable?
- Problem Solved:
I pair my asus router in bridge mode with my satellite

potentially you could get a different manufacturer's repeater to connect. But I'd only use it as a hardwired connection for the camera setup. It could cause some interference as usually the repeaters use the same wireless channel the device they're connecting to is using. And the other repeater isn't controlled by the orbi router.
- ThamJKAspirantHi, thank you for your replied.
I have other manufactured access point device, what my idea is I make the access point device is connected to the internet and then it connect to my DVR by wired. But when I use the access point device to search for network, it couldn’t find my Orbi network.
If you can't get the remote DVR or LAN device connected directly, one can use power line adapters as a simpler solution to connect a LAN device thru the power lines in the home to the Orbi router.
ALso consider running some CAT6 cabling as well. Some cable companies can come and install new LAN cables in walls.

My home got 2 ASus router which can change its operating mode to AP or Repeater, but it didn’t found my network. You can try other mfr PLs. I would tend to keep with same mfr as NG for Orbi if the other PLs don't work.

For Asus they seem to call this "media bridge" mode. For example, here's the Netgear instructions to do it fo one of their routers: https://kb.netgear.com/24105/What-is-bridge-mode-and-how-do-I-set-it-up-on-my-Nighthawk-router

If you already tried the wireless bridge mode on your okd router but it couldn't connect to your Orbi network, you can try modifying the Orbi wireless settings like Beamforming, MIMO, Fast Roaming, 20/40Mhz Coexistence and see if that makes it more compatible.
- ThamJKAspirantThank you for reply. I will try this😚

I have checked my fast roam, MIMU on my Orbi and I set my asus to bridge mode. Still unable to found Orbi networkHow odd that it can't see your Orbi's 2.4Ghz network. Can you show us all your Advanced Wireless settings for 2.4Ghz? Make sure SSID Broadcast is checked, 100% Power, Automatic preamble. Leave WMM checked. If it still doesn't work, try flipping the 20/40 Mhz Coexistence setting.
