Look at the connected devices - find the IP address of the satellite you want to update and try loading that into a different browser.
Be sure your keyboard is not set to a different language when logging in. I know for myself occasionally the keyboard switches to French and I have a moment trying to figure out why I cannot log in.
Yes, tried to login directly @ ip address but that did not work either - languages are not an issue as I can loging to my other satellite without any issues. The password from the main router does not seem to have synced

If it's not synced you would see a light on the satellite, should you not?
Password is not synced -
Probably still worthwhile to treat them as if they are complety unsynced.
Guide on synchronizing Orbi router and satellite- Ensure that both the Orbi router and satellite are powered on.
- Press the Sync button located on the router.
- Wait for two minutes and then press the Sync button on the satellite.
- Your Orbi router and satellite have been successfully synchronized.
