connect satellites from one orbi set to another RBR50 set with RBS20

I just got a "new" orbi set . I have just set up a rbr50 with 2 rbs50 and one rbs20 satellites. It is working fine but i would like to extend the range.

I used to have a rbr20 with two rbs20 satellites. These are not add on satellites. It came in a set.

I am trying to connect the two rbs20 satellites with the rbr 50 but can't make it work. They are working with the rbr20. I have tried resetting , but they won't connect. They get connected to rbr20 automatically if i turn it on though.

How can I pair them with my new RBR50? Is there a way to do it or do I have to two wifi, and run the rbr20+2 satelites in AP mode?

  • Do a Factory Reset on the satellite you want to move to the new system.  Then, go through the Add Orbi Satellite (bottom menu item) on the Orbi web browser interface (http://orbilogin.net

I tried with factory reset. With a pin on the back?

I have to use the orbilologin.com?

Yes.  Pin in the tiny "Reset" hole on the back.

Unless you follow the directions on the web interface, the satellite will simply wait for the original router to appear.

    Hello Shaqz,

    Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

Please try resetting the satellites then, administer the syncing process when the satellites are next to your RBR50. Please SYNC one satellite at a time for the best results. Please ensure that all satellites are on the same firmware.

Please navigate to the link below for additional information about adding your satellite to your existing Orbi system via your Orbi app:

      Thank you.

      I have tried that.

I have a new set of RBR50. With 3 satellites. These 3 I managed to connect. One of these were a rbs20 adon. This is connected aswell.

But the problem is to connect my old RBS20 satelittes to the rbr 50.

I have tried factory resetting and syncing several times, without getting anything else than solid magneta light.

Would appreciate all solutions to solve this.

      Thanks.

        After resetting the sattelite.

the power light is blinking red and ring is blinking white.

It is said that i should wait til it is solid white before i sync. For how long should i wait. It is around 15 minuttes now....

        Thank you for your post!

Which firmware is currently installed on your router and satellites?
