DM200 & Orbi RBR50/ RBS50 - Not Connected
I have had a Netgear DM200 modem connected to a Orbi RBR50 for a couple of years and have encountered 0 issues. Yesterday my internet connection dropped and the power led on the DM200 was flashing amber. I restarted the DM200 and Obri multiple times but to no avail.
I reconnected the router provided by my ISP (BT) which confirmed that I still had access to the internet
I re-set the DM200, configured it with my ISP username/ password and confirmed that I was able to access the internet. I then switched the DM200 into Modem only mode.
I proceeded to re-set the Orbi and reconected everything back up - I have a CAT 5E cable connecting the DM200 to the Orbi Router (LAN port on the modem to the Internet port on the modem). Within the Orbi Login page I re-configured the ISP username/ password expecting that this would resolve the problem however, the Orbi still shows that I am not connected to the internet.
All the led's on the modem are green.
The Orbi firmware is V2.5.2.4
As far as I can remember, this follows the exact setup as before.
Help?!

I would use the ISP provided router and connect the RBR to this router.
And if the ISP provided router has WIFI, turn it off.
What type of ISP router you have ?
Could you set a "static-route" there ?A little picture to better show what I mean.
Doesn't matter if the ISP provided router has limited functionality.
Therfore you have the ORBI system where you connect all your switches, devices, ...
The IP addresses can change, adapt it accordingly

What happens if you remove the ISP log in from the RBR and set DHCP on the RBR and apply the setting. Power OFF both ISP Modem and RBR for 30 seconds then back ON?

Ok, I would try setting the modem back to router mode. then after you get FW updated, set the RBR for router mode as well. Set your modems DMZ for the IP address given to the RBR and see if the RBR connects then. If so, You might try back to modem only mode with the modem and set the RBR up for the ISP account. I'd contact the ISP to ensure the account information is correct and the configuration is correct on the RBR for the ISP account. There many something else that is needed from the ISP for the RBR to connect correctly.

I'm currently in the process of manually updating the firmware to 2.7.2.104
