Initial setup
trying to get initial router RBR20 setup. I have connected router to my xfinity modem via an ethernet cable. Setup validates that router is connected to modem but says no internet connection which is wrong as i have my laptop connected via ethernet cable to the same modem and I have internet on the laptop. Also attempted to connect laptop to router via ethernet cable and still get no internet connection. Have tried several reboots which have not helped.
Xfinity modem uses DHCP so that should not be a problem.
That's good.
Why not make life easier for anyone who arrives with the same problem?
Tell them where you found the answer and mark your own problem as solve.

What is the modem? Is it also a router with a bunch of LAN ports on the back?
- All set. I found a trouble shooting wizard from a similar post on this site which configured the router properly. All seems to be worked my now.
