Only getting 40 Mb/s WiFi with Orbi RBR40

I am currently using the Orbi AC2200 Tri-band WiFi Router (RBR40) with a xFi Gateway 3rd Generation Modem/Router (I have the Gateway in bridgemode so that the router function is turned off).

My current internet plan gives me 800 Mb/s download and 15 Mb/s upload.

My PC that is connected via cable to the Orbi is currently giving me the 800 Mb/s Download and 15 Mb/s Upload.

My devices are connected to my WiFi via the Orbi.  These speeds do not exceed 40 Mb/s download and 15 Mb/s upload.

I have one Orbi Router connected to two Orbi Satellites.  My house is an average sized two story split entry home.

Are there any settings that can be adjusted so that I can get more appropriate WiFi speeds?

Thanks!

one thing to check is if you're testing over 2.4ghz or 5ghz.

2.4ghz is a much slower network and sensitive to interference.

    5ghz is significantly faster

I checked that right off the bat.  I am getting 40 Mb/s over 5 ghz.

What firmware is on the router and the satellites?

If you hardwire into the satellites and test their speed, what do you get?
