orbi ac3000 slow LAN speeds
I bought an Orbi a few months back and it was functioning fine. When i did my first speed test after setting it up i was getting pretty good speeds. I pay for 1 GB x 1GB Fiber from AT&T. As of recently i am having poor lan speeds on multiple desktops. If I do an internet speed test on my modem (from within the modem interface) i get between 800-900 Mbp/s up and down. When i do a speed test from the Orbi i get close to the same thing. When it passes through the orbi to my LAN devices my upload speeds top out at 200 Mbp/s but download speeds are between 700-800 Mbp/s.
I have already verified on 3 different lan interfaces. 2 being the lan interfaces on one pc and the other being a lan interface on a second pc. I have already tried replacing all the cables from the orbi back to the lan devices. I am currently running firmware version V2.5.1.8, this issue was happening on the previous version of the firmware as well.
any recommendations?

Modem FW may have broke good speeds between the modem and Orbi in router mode:

Orbi does work on 1G ISP with cable modems:

your problem is with V2.5.1.8.........get rid of it

so i got rid of 2.5 and that didnt help. I turned off the firewall and everything per the one guide, the orbi was already in ip passthrough mode with manually assignment due to have staticly assigned public IP Address. I have a smart switch that i cannot modify the MAC Address on and then i have a regular 16 port switch that doesnt have any interface... I think im SOL for now, still getting 800/200 mbp/s

FW is not the issue! It's the modem your using. Seems to not give full speeds to external routers connected to it as others have already posted about. You can update to v2.5.1.16 and see if this changes anything. I doubt it though.
Can you find a switch that you can modify? Not sure which model would work best. You might post in that switch post to see what the one user is using for his setup.
