Orbi Sat RBS10 blinking red light
Hi guys.
Just got the Orbi RBK12 this past Friday 4/24. When I set it up the first time everything worked. The router was active, the satellite RBS10 was recognized and online, updated the firmware, etc. So perfect, let's move the satellite to the room I want it in....I did, plugged it in and it's been flashing red ever since. Tried sync, re-set, 7 seconds, 30-30-30. Nothing brings it back to life. It is in the same room as the router and nothing. All my devices are on the network and overall connection improved but would love to have the satellite working for the blind spots. Any suggestions besides returning the whole thing?

what does this mean....updated the firmware,
how do you do that?

automatic update that was pushed through after installation.

perhaps the sat is too close to the router.....if you feel you've done a 'reset' on it...you may want to the sat back to where you had it

I initially had an issue with one of my RBS10 satellites, and tech support set me with a replacement. Just prior to receival of my RMA satellte, my 90 days of "support" ran out. The RMA satellite that I was provided just blinks red .... just as useless as the one that I sent in for replacement. I've spent hours waiting for a "senior technical support specialist" to pick up my call from hold, and i've even been promised call backs. Most recently, an agent started acting like she couldn't hear me after 57 minutes of either being on hold or passed between 3 people. I'll note that she even confirmed my call back number prior to terminating the call, and although she acted like she had technical difficulties with the call, she hasn't since tried to call me back. For $200 bucks, I would expect a product to work for well more than 2 months, let alone just arrive brand new and functioning out of the box. I've owned netgear products previously, and up till now, I've never had a problem ...... they are quickly tarnishing my opinion, however, and now I'm unsure that I'll EVER buy Netgear again. It's simple .... If the product doesn't work .... provide the customer with one that does.
