RBR 50 Satellite Issues

Hello - After 2 years of great performance, our Satellite is almost unusable.  Sometime we can connect to it, but if so, the connection drops shortly afterwards. The Satellite is about 25 feet from the base. Both the router and base are on V2.7.2.104.  This started for the Satellite on the last firmware version.  I recently updated the 2.4 ghz channel, but that didnt help.  Any suggestions please?

thank you

  • Drop back to 2.6.1.40 firmware. It fixed my issues with the buggy 2.7.2.104 firmware. Keep your fingers crossed for the next update.

I was able to update firmware on router, but couldnt update on Satellite. Unfortunately, still running into intermittent drops.

I ran into the same issue with the satellites and had to connect to each on individually (via their IP Address) to update the firmware.

When you're done, that should get you back to where you were before.

25 feet is too close between the RBR and RBS.

30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Also try a factory reset after a FW update if you run into problems.

      25-30 feet
You would most likely put the orbi router in the center of your home then the satellites in the center of the the rest of the area. So really only 25-30 feet between satellites and router.
