RBR40 - LED RING pulsing green, factory reset not working

Hi, hoping someone can help please.  My ORBI router stopped working overnight and the Router LED RING is pulsing green.  There's no mention of this on any of the troubleshooting guides. No matter how long I hold the reset button in for it will not turn amber (I tried multiple times for over 2 minutes).  ANy ideas please?  THanks.

Try a recovery of the RBR. Have the RBR FW already downloaded.

Need to press the reset button for 30 seconds then release, then it send to PUT the command and upload the FW.
I had a problem on a Windows 10 PC where this didn't work to use TFTP, so I switched to a WIndows 7 PC and the TFTP worked.

If this fails, please contact NG support for additional help and information.

Hi FURRY thanks for advice.  I am using Mac OS.  Not sure what you mean with PUT.

You need a TFTP program for Mac OS to use the PUT command. It's a command seen in the TFTP program. It actually send the FW file to the RBR during the recovery mode. Do a web search to see what TFTP programs maybe available or Mac OSX.

I am confused.  The Power LED on the back above the power button (on the other side of the power plug from the tiny "reset" hole) is what will turn amber and then begin to pulse as part of a Factory Reset.

The power LED will not change colour when I try to reset.  The ring LED on the top of the unit is flashing green, not pulsing as I said earlier.

Did you try the "30-30-30" method?

If the regular factory reset process doesn't work, @michaelkenward described an undocumented way to get an Orbi to factory reset:

Press paperclip in reset hole for 30 seconds
Keep pressing paperclip while removing power
Keep pressing paperclip for another 30 seconds while apply power

I am guessing that this Orbi is more than one year old (out of warranty)?  If so, then the Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) method is the only other thing to try.
