RBR50 can’t connect from LAN ports to Wi-Fi connections
I’m trying to run a backup server in my network but it fails to connect to any of the devices that are on Wi-Fi.
While debugging the problem I found that I can ping from a laptop on the Wi-Fi to a device on the lan ports but not the other way, lan to Wi-Fi. If I move the laptop to the lan the ping works. Note that the ip assigned to the laptop remains the same whether on Wi-Fi or lan. It seems like the ARPs aren’t crossing from Wi-Fi to LAN but I haven’t verified that.
I’ve searched but haven’t found a solution.
Thanks in advance!

This is not my experience on an RBR50 system. All devices ping all other devices (as long as they respond to ICMP requests. some do not.)
It is a bit unusual for the IP address to be the same for both the Ethernet and WiFi connections, as they have different MAC addresses and would be seen as different devices by the Orbi. (unless there are entries in the LAN assignment table assigning the same IP to both MAC addresses.)

Can you describe your network layout, including any switches, from your ISP/modem to your Orbi RBR and Orbi RBS satellites? Where are your hardwired devices, that cannot ping wireless devices, connected to?

Would you mind identifying the type of backup server? In a technical sense, would it be more correct to say that the devices wishing to back up are not able to connect to the server (rather than the server connect to them)?
The request to know specifics about components, especially switches, is germane because IGMP snooping has been shown to interfere with activities that depend on IP multicast technology.
