RBR50 firmware update-this firmware file is incorrect

Question

I have an Orbi RBR50 and am unable to update the firmware. The message in the autoupdate section of the router management is that the "update has failed". I have tried repeatedly to manually update and get the message, "This firmware file is incorrect! Please get the firmware file again and make sure it is the correct firmware for this product." I have tried backing down to reinstall my current version and also several intermediate versions. The older versions will start to upload, followed by the failure message. Newer versions never get to that point and result in the failure message immediately. I saw a thread describing the same issue wherein the router was purchased from an ISP; mine was from BestBuy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What Firmware version is currently loaded?What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

I should add that the Orbi is not functioning as the router but is in AP mode.&nbsp;

Ah ok, so your on a old version which you need to update to v212 I believe on the RBS first, then RBR lastly. Once these are at v212, you can Go directly to 40 on the RBS, I believe then try on the RBR lastly.&nbsp;&nbsp;If you can get access to the RBS web page, send the FW file to the RBS web page first. Then update the RBR.&nbsp;&nbsp;Your ISP mode has a built in router just FYI.&nbsp;This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAThttps://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NATCouple of options,1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.3.
