RBR50 no longer detects satelites
hi,
i noticed on the app that the satelittes were no longer connected. So I brought them closer to the Router and pressed connect on all 3. They all started blinking white for short period, one of my satelittes went blue (connected) but doesn’t show in the app as online shows 0 of 2.
Tried to connect the other one again via Sync but no success, suggestions anyone?
ps. Using my orbi router as an AP.
conclusion was that the satellite is broken beyond fixing/rebooting/resetting
I switched to the 873.

Hello Crasje ,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
I understand that you are not able to see the satellites using your Orbi app. This behavior usually occurs when the Orbi app version is not current. Please visit the Google Play Store or the iOS app store to ensure your Orbi app version is up to date.

Hello,
my satelitte is suddenly disconnected, i tried to pair or reset but no succes.
now i noticed in the orbi app that i see older firmware for that satelitte, so my plan would be to update it to 2.7.5.6 (from 2.7.4.24).
doing it via orbilogin is not going to work since it is not connected, so how do i proceed?
thanks!!

Does pressing the reset button for 15 seconds then release on the back of the RBS change anything?
Try a 30-30-30 reset as well. If this fails, possible RBS has gone bad.
Try this as well and see if the self service web page works:

Hi,
pressing reset does not work so far I tried it 3-4 times. Also turing it off for 5+min doesn't work.
Today I hardwired (ethernet) the RBS50 to the RBR50 hoping it would make it visible for the ORBI management software so it could be updated via http://orbilogin.com (assuming only pairing etc was broken) but that did not work either.
I have read somwhere that perhas connecting the SBS50 directly to a laptop was an option? But I can't find it anymore or how to flash it from a Macbook.

Conclusion was that the Orbi RBS50 was beyond fixing, reseting to factory, rebooting, whatever... had no effect.
So I spend a bucketload on the Orbi 873, very quick internet now 😁
