RBS50 Config sync stuck
I've had a full working RBR50 and RBS50 for the past 3 years. No issues, all devices connected, no problems. The past 48 hours have been hell! Somehow the satellite lost connection, so I did the typical rebooted, as I've done many times before, but this time the satellite would not provide internet to the connected devices.
I've spent the past 24 hours digging through countless posts on how to fix this, and nothing is working.
1) The Orbi app is saying there is one satellite "connected" BUT in the "Network map" the satellite doesn't show up.
2) Through the desktop GUI, it shows the satellite connect, but BackHaul is stuck on config sync.
3) BOTH are on the same firmware V2.7.4.24
What I have tried
- reboot both units RBR50 and RBS50 - Both go through the cycle and both show the blue ring, indicating connection
- factory reset the RBS50
- multiple "sync" procedures - both through the desktop GUI and Orbi app. Every time it ends with the "blue ring" indicating connection, but it doesn't fix the backhaul.
- Connected RBR50 and RBS50 together via ethernet cable, and backhaul worked, but once disconnected and moved the satellite to the other part of the house wireless backhaul didn't work.
- Placed both units side-by-side and rebooted
- The FUNNY part, when I disconnect the satellite and refresh the desktop GUI, it shows Backhaul "good", but the satellite is unplugged. (something weird is going on there).
I'm at a complete loss! I don't have a way to connect directly to the satellite via ethernet cable, as I don't have any devices (laptops) with ethernet ports. I saw that as one of the other potential solutions, but I can't do that.

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network. Not sure if this maybe helpful:
Can you access the RBS web page at it's IP address in a web browser?
FW is behind so you might, if you can gain access to the RBS web page, update the RBS first using it's web page, then update the RBR lastly:
Can use this process to update your system:
They have USB to ethernet adapters that are inexpensive.

I'm in Router Mode, not AP. And have been since day one. I ditched the ISP modem, since they sucked at the time and used the Orbi system since.
I cant access the RBS via IP address (i tried), mainly because the unit is not connected to the internet. I showing a "wifi signal" and allowing devices to "connect to it", but anything "connected" to is not getting internet.

Hello Cboglio,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
I understand that you are having issues with your RBR50 and RBS50 due to a network compatibility issue. This issue can occur if the RBR50 is on a different firmware than your RBS50. Please check the Firmware on your router and your satellite.
Please follow the link below for instructions on how to check your firmware version and update your Orbi satellite:
