Router speed

I have the above router + ORBI74 satelilite. Purchased mid 2017.

I upgraded to gigabit speed.  I get that speed hardwired to the modem.  However the Orbi system gives me 100-150 mbps.  Firmware is up to date.  Is this system too old to give gigabit speed?

Thank you.

Which Orbi router do you have?

What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?

Has a factory reset been performed then setup from scratch and run a speed test with a wired PC connected to the router?

      Thank you!

The modem is a Rohs C3000.  The router and satelite are RBR50.

I did a factory reset on both.

With a wired connection to the Orbi router I get 626mbps download.

Through the satelite I now get 50-60 mbps, less than I got before.

      Exasperating!

Is the satellite wireless or wire connected to the base router?

Are you wireless or wired to the satellite when speed testing?

Remove the Orbi74 satellite and test with the ones that came with the newer Orbi system.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials.
