slow wifi speed on both of my Orbi RBS50 satellites, usually around 40 to 60Mbps
I have two RBS50s hardwired to the RBR50 and when I test WiFi speeds on both it is usually 40 to 60Mbps, but anything plugged in hardwired to the RBS50 achieves 480 to 490Mbps. I am within 5 to 10 feet of these units for the WiFi test. I am assuming the back feed via wire is working well. I have a 400Mbps service with my Internet provider.
Any ideas or is it time to give up the ghost on these and look for a new system. I have checked and no new firmware is available and I have powered off and rebooted all three Orbit devices.
With the same room of the router RBR50 on speed test I get 447Mbps within 80' of the router. Firmware is V2.7.4.24
Thanks for any suggestions or help

What device are you testing on and is that device connecting to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz?
the 2.4ghz is a slower network and the 40-80mbps is right in line with its performance.
The 5ghz should hit 300+ speeds.

Apple Iphone XS Max and this device does get 450Mbps near the RBR50 but not from the RES50s

On the wired devices I have three PC's connected to a hub and then to the RBS50 ethernet port, all devices on this RBS50 run the 480 490Mbps

I brought up the Orbi app and verified where the Iphone was connected

There could be some crazy WiFi problem (hidden node? etc.) which is causing so many collisions that throughput is destroyed. Might want to verify results with some other WiFi device.
I am not sure that "the grass is greener" with another system. During the past six months I have been almost smug that I avoided all the issues people have reported with the 750, 850, and 960 products.
Besides the disappointment, how does this lack of maximum speed affect your life? Does the iPhone not load web pages fast enough? Fail to stream Facetime, YouTube, or Zoom?
- wolfiiiAspirantThanks, you are right on how does it affect me and it doesn’t very much
Just curious to see what I could do
