AC810s common issues
Hi,
does anyone knows what's the issue, that this router is rebooting each time when the network traffic is bigger than just watching youtube ? downloading big file (like iso image from torrent network) from internet is not possible because of that...
I mean whole device is restarting - not only connection to internet..
Second thing is using this device under power supply - why after charging I need to power off supply, because after reaching 100% of battery, device switches to discharging battery, unless someone will recconect power supply - otherwise it wil discharge completly and switch off itself. It's CONNECTED TO POWER SUPPLY - IT MUST WORK ! I use it as mobile device only at weekend, during week I want keep it connected to power and don't have to check every time if I should reconnect it because battery cycle (charged to 100% - 0%) is comming to end..
It's also not working wihout battery - restarting after make connection with GSM network..
Third isssue is software in my opinion - missing SMS forwarding option - why ? it's just mobile router - I would like to get SMS for my main phone, fe. because provider is sending me SMS about finishing money on internet sim card...
SMS size sent from A810s is 70 characters - normaly it's 160, right ?

Hi
I have the same issue too...
Mine is plugged with the power supply without the battery.
It happens that the device reboots while it's downloading.

Hi all,
I did some testing with few configuration. Here are my observations:
1. when using my VPN connection with UDP setting ac810s tends to freeze after few seconds (3-4 active torrent connection)
2. when using my VPN connection with TCP setting ac810s works fine but active connection has to be limited to 3-4. From time to time connection freezes but device restart is not needed - so VPN using TCP is some workaround - anyway with this setup connection is rather slow - up to 1.5 Mbytes/s
Without VPN ac810s router seems to be working fine. Maybe VPN providers use bigger frames? Anyway with ac810s this is first time I experienced freezing issue. Number of potential ac810s buyers is narrowing, having in mind VPN usage will be growing.

I just registered to say thank you for describing these problems -- I'm a common VPN user. As NetGear hasn't had the decency to fix this issue, I'm not buying this product. Also, the reheating issues you mention worry me.
Cheers,
