LB1120 LTE modem alternating signal bars lit

I have an LB1120 that was working fine, until one day the power light went orange and the first, third, and fifth signal bars are lit green, but the other ones are off (except the ethernet activity light, which is operating normally -- see attached picture). I can plug in to the ethernet and get an address via DHCP, but it is 192.168.225.x rather than the usual 192.168.5.x.

The management interface will not load at either address (192.168.225.1 or 192.168.5.1), and all attempts at resetting with the hardware reset button fail to have any effect: it is as if I was not pushing the button at all.

This person encountered the exact same problem, but the solution was not posted: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Mobile-Routers-Hotspots-Modems/Problem-with-LB1120/m-p/1561713/highlight/true#M5921

Tried that earlier on, with no change. Had it sitting unplugged on the shelf for a few days.

        Hi seriousolive34

To clarify, is it solid amber or blinking amber?

Solid amber bar : The modem is not connected to the Internet.
Blinking amber bar : A SIM card is not installed or not correctly installed or an error occurred.

        What happen prior the issue?

        Regards,
        Blanca
