M5 -MR5100. Cant Register serial N0. "Unable to register product to your account: Product not found"
Please i need help with with registering the serial number, The M5 -MR5100 5G portable router.
I talked to support today and they gave me a Case No: 45476805 & wanted me to send a photo through the MyNetgear.
She said the case number would be there but its not and have no way the send a photo of the serial number.
Im in australia and have alot of problems with this router heating up, & the internet dropping from the 2.4ghz band only, which is very strange. But cant get any further because the serial number isnt registering. I bought it brand new from Telstra (ISP), it doesnt make sense.
I hope someone can help me.

Aparently, acording the Netgear tech support.... because its a Telstra model, Telstra themselves are fully resposible for the trouble shooting and warranty issues, so thats why the serial number cant be registered with Netgear themselves.
Unfortunatly, Telstra tech support is pretty bad, so wish me luck.

Aparently, acording the Netgear tech support.... because its a Telstra model, Telstra themselves are fully resposible for the trouble shooting and warranty issues, so thats why the serial number cant be registered with Netgear themselves.
Unfortunatly, Telstra tech support is pretty bad, so wish me luck.

Don't you have any government agency or consumer organisation that you can contact about what happened to you? Because you were mislead, and couldn't find that information. I did a search on Telstra but couldn't find that restriciton. If Netgear is mentioned on your product than it is a Netgear device, also when it arrived in a Netgear box. It would be different that on the box Telstra is mentioned.

1. Can you send me a screenshot showing " "cant register serial number" ?
2. Can you check whether your device is on the latest release? For Telstra, the latest FW version is NTG9X50C_12.06.08.00 and PRI 05.05.

Firstly, the firmware you mentioned isnt the same as what i have . I have checked for upgrades many many times & my device says im on the latest.. i have ---
Firmware --- NTGX55_12.04.12.00
Firmware build date -- 2021/08/19
PRI vesion --- 03.05
Hardware version --- 1.2
GUI--- MR5100-1TLAUS_04.02.196.00
Can you please supply latest firmware so i can install manually, (if i dont have the latest) and let me know why it is different please ???

Sorry for the confusion. Your device is on the latest release. The version I posted above was for Telstra MR1100.
