MR7400 Bugs
MR7400 Bug: WiFi standby issue with apostrophe in SSID + Cellular tab only shows info in Cellular-only mode
I’m using a Netgear Nighthawk MR7400 (M7 Pro) and have run into two reproducible issues:
- WiFi Standby with Apostrophe in SSID
If I set my SSID to include an apostrophe (e.g. Hoff's Nighthawk), the WiFi goes into standby mode and will not turn back on.
WiFi is enabled, standby is set to Never, and broadcast SSID is on.
The only workaround is to remove the apostrophe from the SSID (e.g. HoffsNighthawk). - Cellular Tab Info Missing in Mixed Mode
In the web interface, the Cellular tab stays blank (no signal, SIM details, or network status) if WiFi + Cellular is enabled in Internet Options.
If I switch to Cellular-only mode, the tab populates correctly with all the details.
This suggests a UI/firmware bug when using mixed WiFi + Cellular mode.
Environment:
Device: MR7400 (M7 Pro)
Software: MR7400_1NA1NAS_04.00
Firmware: NTGX75_10.04.10.00
Carrier: AT&T

Hello,
I’m using a Netgear Nighthawk MR7400 (M7 Pro) on software version MR7400_1NA1NAS_04.00 with firmware NTGX75_10.04.10.00 and have run into two reproducible issues. The first issue occurs when the SSID contains an apostrophe, such as “Hoff's Nighthawk.” In this case, the WiFi immediately goes into standby mode and will not turn back on, even though WiFi is enabled, standby is set to “Never,” and SSID broadcast is active. The only workaround I’ve found is to remove the apostrophe from the SSID (for example, using “HoffsNighthawk”), after which WiFi functions normally. The second issue involves the Cellular tab in the web interface. When the router is set to use WiFi + Cellular under Internet Options, the Cellular tab remains blank and does not display any details such as signal strength, SIM information, or network status. However, when the router is switched to Cellular-only mode, the tab populates correctly with all the expected information. This suggests a UI or firmware bug that prevents cellular details from being shown in mixed mode. Both issues are consistent and appear to be firmware-related rather than configuration problems. myccpay
